Nice design! Eyes are catching attentionI wasn't expecting to see Daphne like this
Keep it up!
i just realized thats Daphne from Scooby Doo! and then promptly went to check out the rest of that series of drawings and it is indeed based off scooby doo! oh except its based off the Velma show which i heard strays way off from the orig scooby doo so not a fan of that lol but the art is super cool.
for ur studies, you could try doing less overlapping lines and more single or mostly single stroke lines
Nice character study. What were you trying to get from the art study of Dephnie? Just curious
@patrycja.lerch Thank you. I didn't expect it the first time I saw it either. So I wanted to draw it.
@mitsuki-youkoOh yeah, I forgot to mention these were redesigns from the Show Velma. I'm pretty used to the overlapping lines. I guess I can try that. Do you have any tips on single stroke lines? Oh, and here's the video:
Thank you @Gordon003
I'm just trying to get the line art and the design. I like how she draws the characters in a somewhat spooky and I want to study them to see how it works.
This vid's probs helpful esp the first point about line confidence:
I did some gesture drawings and figure studies. For the first one, I focused on the line work.
More gesture drawingsHere are some structure studies.I also did some tracing of some muscles.
I did some 30-second gesture drawings. Here are some one minute gesture drawings as well.I did this painting over the weekend. It's a bearded man riding a dinosaur. It was for Dino Pride month. It was also a color study.
Nice piece! I like these colors
Thank you @patrycja.lerch. I got some color ideas from the artist from The Promised NeverlandI made some more gesture drawings. 30 seconds to one minute each.Since it's July, I want to draw some American heroes and maybe villains. This one is a work-in-progress sketch of Kamen America from the series of the same name. it's can also be a study from the artist GENZOMAN.
Here is some line work I did over a sketch I made of Kamen America from the series of the same name.I also have some flat colors of her. It's a work in progress.
Here are some 30 second gesture drawings from the 7th, and 9 of July. One Minute Gesture drawings. Here are also some 2 minute gesture drawings for this month's challenge.
I'm making a sketch of an entry for an art contest for the series ISOM. Here are some thumbnail sketches of the character ISOM fighting an enemy. I placed the characters in Photoshop to get the right angle. So far I just have the image sketched and inked. I'll have to finish the colors today.
I love how dynamic this looks
Thank you @queeniemp. It was an interesting challenge. Here are some more gesture drawings 30 seconds each.1-minute gesture drawings.I finished up my picture for the ISOM fan art contest. But the deadline has passed. Maybe next time, I'll enter this.
30-second gesture drawings1 minute gesture drawings.
Here are some 30-second gesture drawings
Here are some more gesture drawings. There are 1 minute each.
I finished my picture of Kamen America. I made a simple background of the flag.
I have some gesture drawings. I think I'm getting better. Here are some 30-second gesture drawings. And these are some 1-minute gesture drawings.
Here are some 2-minute gesture drawings.
More two-minute gesture drawings. I had some time to shade one of them.I wanted to draw some American characters for July Last month. Here is a sketch of one of them. Homelander from the boys with a Flag cake. I did a back study sketch and decided to make the character Funny Valentine from Jojo's bizarre adventure part 7 I wanted to focus on the back muscles.
Nice studies!
What makes you think that you are getting better on gesture drawing? e.g. Is it that you can find the flow quicker?
@Gordon003 I was able to find the flow faster and get the positions faster. I've been doing these drawings almost every day this year. I had a character idea of a snake girl. Apparently, this month is an animal combination. This is what I have so far.
