Changed his hairstyle to match more closely with his original design, so his hair has a softer appearance to match him more.

slowly getting through this character design and i am beginning to work on her powers, Wen uses her hair as her main weapon. feeling a lot more motivated with my art as i'm in bali and the art community here is so caring and genuine not like my experiences in the uk. So i want to work harder to never have to live in england again haha (i didn't know such kindness and culture existed, literally within every community it's just so lovely here and people are living their lives instead of obsessing about the corporate ladder)

thank you!! at that point i was mainly focusing on his silhouette looking dynamic than taking into consideration his personality, though some character designs do challenge shape language

Thank you! & i'm just here on holiday but i have an art friend out here who introduced me to some other artists then from there i've found more groups of mainly indonesians and a few other tourists. The community seems really connected an uplifting here

did some portrait practice colour blocking practice in the artwod course

I follow a few of you guys on instagram and im so inspired by the colour studies i see. Plus trying to soak up my last few days of motivation in bali since i'll be heading back to the land of grey (aka england). I am more confident with my linework for sure as i rarely properly study rendering plus there is more to it when you render cos of colour theory etc..

so by the time i get to this point im super confused, i want my rendering to look sculpture like/oil painting but digital.
i really want my rendering to look like Sinix design (on YT and Insta) here is his work:

Oooh that looks good! The pink haired girl drawing is very impressive with all the details. You can certainly notice the influence of Sinix with the brushwork, strong forms and removal of lineart.

Doing master studies is usually a good way to try to break down and emulate what other artists do, but it looks to me like you're on the right track there!

Nice! I also like sinix design's stuff, some of his videos were deeply inspiring for the way I look at painting.

I really like the overall result of your color study. As for observations, I think it could do with a touch more contrast or maybe darker individual shadows at the forehead area. Also, the brush work and edges used for the shadows around the lighter part of the neck make it almos look like the area is bulging in my eyes
