This week has just been studies

Hardest thing with values for me is shading something that doesn’t have much of a contrast hence the second guys face looking flat. But I am so happy seeing my progression lately

Random sketches, as for this week I will be working on character silhouettes for a male character inspired by steampunk, every time I think of a new character design it has to be something that will push me out of my comfort zone

Been working a lot on anatomy especially with the male figure this week and doing character designs. Been so tired I haven’t made much progress but hope to finish the costume colour exploration, expressions and weapons sheet today and tomorrow. Then next week I will spend the whole week trying to study Marc’s classes on perspective and environments very closely as I am lacking in that area >.<

Been trying to save this painting but gonna let it go cause I’m hating everything about it so will try new pose. This character is also inspired by steampunk and usually wears Gas mask. Challenged myself with the creation of this one and it’s proving difficult really need to not rush it and work on textures

Hey there, looking good with all those character designs
Very strong silhouettes and liking the crazy popeye forearms, although I did notice that in some of the action poses the forearms went a bit skinny

Some greyscale studies I did on my lunch break yesterday, enjoying learning about perspective it’s actually a nice change from always doing anatomy and character designs.
