Here is my assignment submission for the Character Design portion of TERM 5. It was fun to create, and I most certainly have so much more to learn about making a good hook in a character design as well as learning how to design more memorable and impactful characters.

No assignment submissions tonight. I'm about to begin my new academics with CG Spectrum, so that will surely affect things for me. I still want to aim to consistently complete and post weekly updates however, though it could be less work since I'll have less time for the ART School program.

Here are the assignments from TERM 5 for Animal and Creature Drawing. I'll work on them further ( similarly to human anatomy ) moving forward. This is the FIRST time drawing a horse, btw.

Unfortunately, I have lost sight of the bigger picture and need to take a step back for a bit to revise my approach to the ART School Program and what I want to get out of it moving forward. I'll be back next month.

Wow the chest studies look gorgeous 😲 Did you draw them on top of a reference or freehand or from imagination? 😄

I would love to give you feedback, but unfortunately I don't know much about anatomy yet xD Everything looks right to me tho ^^

Thank you for your feedback! I went for a darker background with my chest studies to see what it would look like, and I immediately loved it. They were drawn on top of reference images.

It seems my gestures have finally become to "click" with me, in terms of observing the overall forms and making a few, deliberate, clean lines.

Any Constructive Critique and / or Feedback on my faces in terms of construction ( or other issues / mistakes you can see which I cannot ) are much appreciated. There is still much to learn about faces.

Yoo your short gestures are unreal levels of good, I fell some of your shorter gestures are better than the longer ones XD great job. I also like the idea of painting them in, it makes seeing their silhouette much easier and also to see negative spaces - I might just give this a try myself

As for the faces, the last one in the left has an ear too high and there are a couple of chins that are not parallel in perspective to the brow line, but apart from a couple of those details I think they look very convincing. I would consider using even fewer lines in some of them, less is more

Thank you for the feedback! I color code the gestures to make it easier to read, and there is always room to improve with anatomy. This week I had a focus on arm / hand anatomy, and had more practice with gestures.
