Here is an image I am working on

It is my take on the Manticore.
I would like to make it look as awesome as possible, yet I am uncertain on how to proceed?

It would be cool if I could tell some sort of story with this image, some narrative elements perhaps...maybe I could adorn the Manticore somehow or make it look more like some sort of stone or marble even. Then I could do engravings or something.

Any feedback and or ideas will be most helpful

The software I am using is Krita.

This is a quick update, I decided to go for a burning city in the foreground. Like Troy or an ancient city aflame. Now to refine and complete the image

I'm working on an idea for a game. I'm thinking about making like a point and click horror game of sorts set on a space ship.

Here is a concept for how the AI (which is the space ship in the game) may work

The blue character is the player character and the little box emitting the red area is a AI sensor.
The AI is aware of objects through the sensor and it has the ability to copy whatever it scans. The AI may then project a hologram of the copied object or combination of objects. It is up to the player to try and outsmart the AI by placing objects in sensor range that might benefit the player at a later stage.
For example:
The AI has a database of plants that are on-board the ship. It retains certain protocols when working with plants, like nurturing and keeping them healthy.
Placing part of a plant in sensor range will likely have the AI copy the plant-matter and re-allocate it to the 'garden' or 'nursery'.
The player may benefit from this behaviour as certain stations in the ship are set to have and be stocked with certain items.
If the sensor picks up something that relates to the ships protocols, that part of the ship will be replenished

Update:
Here is a quick concept of a zombie and a soldier.

I'm thinking that in the beginning of the game the player may control one soldier and one engineer. Then later in the game, one will have to choose between the soldier and the engineer in order to continue.
