Slowly finishing Term 4:
Draw a character that represents you (or a family member/friend) in a simple standing pose with an exaggerated superhero body:
For this assignment, I took a photo of myself as a pose reference. I sketched the pose and then made a character out of it. Repeated the assignment again to try out a slightly different approach. I didn't really have anyone in mind when I was drawing the characters. Looking at it again, I should have exaggerated the bodies more, not just make them buff. But I feel like painting, so I'll try something again to have a full color drawing for the end of Term 4. But I have to finish work related stuff first (T_T).
Did a few studies to practice value a bit.
I was also thinking about the box method for character construction. I looked up how other artist use them and found a nice video from Pikat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ip_EI4pvx1k Everything that she talks about was covered in the terms so far. Seeing it summarized like this was a good refresher.
