Did a quick study today.

I think your enviroment studies are great. I've looked at some enviroment art and thought, "There's way too much detail in there, I can't draw that." But I like the way you've broken them down.

Finished the box cover assignment. I was not sure what to put on it but in the end I stitched something together. I drew the deer and downloaded some other stuff. Learned how to do glitch effects in Photoshop from this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ibreg9T168

I also drew a character that I ended up not using.

Thank you ! The glitch effect is surprisingly simple to make. Now I have to restrain myself from putting it on everything

That looks great! Do yu do your shadows by selecting color and blending them? or just apply a darkening layer? Those are some really good colored shadows!

Here is the process for this portrait :
I like this way of painting because you don´t have to worry about the colors in the beginning just the values. I also used blending modes that allow you to change hue to make some parts that I missed with the lasso more blue-ish. Before merging everything together I always make copy of the layers so in case I mess up somewhere I don´t lose everything. I hope this helped.

Interesting! I'll watch the video a bit later, so it's a kind of like gradiant shading but using color balance instead.

I loved using gradiant shading when the lesson came up, but in general I go back to just stacking colors and applying some opacity and blending when it comes to coloring.

This looks really smooth though, I'd like to at least try it out. Thanks!

Those are all really great! seems you already have pretty good domain over 3D space and proportions!
