sorry for the slow progress. here's the next part. I'm still playing around with it a little before I work on the colours
I'll probably rework the arm in the back. I feel like its too short. or I gotta change the angle make it foreshorten more forward.

Ran into some emergency. I haven't had much time to update. I manage to change the angle of the arm and working on blocking out those noodles.
but I need to still render out that bicep better.
I was hoping to get more solid time on working on this. but work has gotten in the way.
next week I'll have a better update (I hope)
I like both versions. Can't you do a mix of both? 
Maybe something like having some of the glow at the top, but keeping the darker colors towards the bottom.
I like version B more but like @cedricgo suggestion on how to maybe combine them.

this is something I started in 2016. And ran out of steam painting it (I guess I wasn't happy with some of stuff going on in there). there's some stuff I want to change and adjust. (especially that arm, it's bugging me. and the leg.. and well.. there's some stuff I want to get to)
it's been long enough and I want to fix it and finish it and move on.
Looking forward to seeing more of this piece.

Slow progress. Been working on it on my free time. I've gotten the arm closer to what I wanted. and starting to smooth up and tightening parts of the form
Not a big update on the painting. Just cleaning up and tightening the forms. I did a little bit on his teeth mouth. and left forearm
I thought I would throw down sketches as well maybe something to paint in the future
@1dtran told me about these cool water colour brushes so I thought I would experiment tonight on some of my drawings. With some combination of Gouache. Wow I'm really amazed how the brushes capture a natural feel to it.
planning to comeback to the troll later this week.
I wanted to get this @beastwreck shape challenge done. since I keep missing his challenges. Lately I've been into a drawing kick and wanted to take a break from painting.

I tried to paint it with loose paint and tried to keep the line intact. it turned out awful so I ended up painting a little more and a little more. I'm still not happy with it but I had to get it done with the challenge

I started another shape challenge as well. but this time I think I'll just keep it as a drawing. I think now that it's out of my system I'll jump back to the troll image.

Something I'm working on... Still learning and trying.
I try to brush up on the anatomy. I like to review my anatomy with "complete anatomy" software. pretty neat if you're into using reference.
Besides the right upper arm being too skinny in my opinion, I think this is on the right track. Personally a fan of the new claws and how you handled the face and brain. Looks awesome man. Keep up the good work.

I think I might either beef it up or elongate the claw to make it asymmetrical or maybe go symmetrical I'm not too sure. but it's deffinitely too skinny
Well I look forward to see which direction you go. I'd say try both options and choose which one you like after the fact.

aww thanks for the kind words. it's really helping be more focused and trying to finish pieces.
. I'm trying to be more focused and do more personal pieces. I haven't been able to do as much personal pieces since I had kids and shifted from freelance to teaching.

Still nothing finished. but I thought I would post the alien. It's fun so far. but I feel like I have so many unfinished art. One day I'll complete.

it's a bit dark. but I'm mostly focusing on forms. I'll balance out my values later.

he released a colouring book on Amazon. I got mine for my kids. in Oct.
but really I got it for myself lol.
