I've finished the mouth anatomy class.
They're looking quite wonky in my opinion.
I think the reason might be that my head proportions are a bit off.

I'll still do my eye proportions on this drawing for the time being than I'll try and redraw all of it with more accurate facial proportions.

Its been a while since I last did some gesture drawings. I've been feeling a bit demotivated and burnt out the last few day and I'm just trying to take it day by day.

Recently I've been playing around in Blender to get more familiar with the software.
I'm currently just focusing on the animation part for the time being and then I'll branch out to more things like 3D sculpting, special effects etc.

Here's a peak on what I've made so far.
It took me about 6 hours just to make a 3 second animations. 👀

noice thats not bad considering ur using 3d. i forgot how long my 3d animations took back when i made them a few yrs ago

Started this drawing about 2 or 3 days ago, I'm playing around with airbrush and a bit of blending to shade and its pretty fun.

Another update!
I'll probably only be able to finish this piece sometime next week.
Its quite a learning curve trying to make something so realistic, but I kinda enjoy it ngl.
I also need to redo the hair, but I need to seriously watch some video's on how to do that first haha.

I'll have to come back to this piece when I have a better understanding of how to render hair, but I'm really happy with how far I was able to come with this piece.
Let me know if there is any other feedback you guys might have or any suggestions on where I can watch some hair render tutorials.

I decided to scrap the hair entirely but I wanted to finish the render by adding the colors from the reference photo.
Hopefully I can render hair in the not so distant future :

I decided to do a very stylized portrait drawing.

I don't know why but every time I do a render study I tend to like my base sketch a lot more then the final render... Maybe it just means that I'm not that happy with my rendering at this stage?

I'm really liking the simplification of this stylized method and I'm hoping to add some of the elements to my future art style!

I'm the same, I usually prefer my base sketch. I think it means we need to work on our skills in adding volume to the drawing (lighting work and shading as a result)

I totally feel you on the rendering phase. I think it's worth experimenting with different rendering methods. For example, in stead of a soft brush with very diffuse gradients, try making gradients with hard brushes or brushes with some texture to add a different feel to it.

I'll definitely try out more rendering techniques and see how its turns out!

I'll keep you guys posted when I have a new portrait, for now I'm struggling with the 3PP Castle Gate scene

Finally started with Term 2 perspective classes.
I am not the biggest fan of perspective drawings but I guess I have no choice but to master it XD
I'm currently busy with the Castle Gate drawing so we'll see how that turns out.
I also still need to do a self portrait some time so I'll see if I can prepare some references.
