I like the top right one as well especially the purple in the trees
Thanks! I'm working on it now and the purple is my favorite part so far~
Progress on my Pokemon landscape!I'm having a hard time figuring out this lighting Loving the colors though
I also did these sketches for my first illustration of my final project. They're not much, but I haven't had time to start so I'm excited that I finally did something towards it.
I drew my brother as a superhero I plan starting commissions next week where I draw people as fantasy heroes. Can't wait to see how this goes I tried to use everything I learned about lighting and designing characters etc. If you see anything and can give a critic please do! I want to do studies and practice some fundamentals before I start taking real commissions.
I hope you find success in commissions when you start them next week, and while I don't really have much to critique because I am not that knowledgeable I feel like you could clean up some of your brush strokes and shapes(mainly on the character) in this unless you are going for a specific style because it gives an unfinished/unrefined look to certain parts of the painting. I also feel like you could define more of the folds in the cape to have it feel more believable with how the wind interacts with it. I love how you abstracted the hair and background, and the lighting looks great as well.
This helps a lot because I was thinking the same thing. I tried to finish this with a two week deadline but I'm going to move it up to 3 weeks when I officially start I need to be honest with myself lol. And I'll definitely add clothing studies to my schedule. Thanks for the feedback
I spent a little more time rendering and cleaning up the edges. I don't want it to be too smooth but the previous one was a bit rough. I'm going to experiment more with brushstrokes and rending : P
Here are some hair designs I did for my commission info sheet. It was nice doing portrait drawings on the computer after working with charcoal for the past couple of months
I wanted to share these sanguine pastel hand and feet studies I did for my Anatomy of style class. I've decided to do two classes back to back for the past couple of months to learn more about muscles add more gesture to my work. The second one is coming to an end so I'm hoping to finally continue my final project here. And finally finish my Pokemon illustration
I finally have time to focus more on Art School!!I started working more on my first portfolio piece. Hopefully I can start doing thumbs for the next one.
nice expressions. looking forward to the final result.
I got through a few color and lighting tests for the clowns! At first I was certain about the bottom middle one, but the top right one looks interesting too
I personally like the bottom left one - the colors seem a bit more saturated to me so it draws me in a bit more.
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I feel like the pink adds a really nice contrast... I might just take a few things from each and mash them together.
I finished the design for the first clown costume. It's not much but I'm excited about the way it turned out After I get the other two together I'll color them and I'll be finished with my first character sheet!
Your brother as a superhero looks really badass! I'm also digging you sanguine studies. They're quite nice. And finally that clown design is also really nice. I like the flow and looseness of the sketch.
All in all, keep up the great work!
Wow! Thank you so much for the kind words, I really appreciate it
I did a clothing study for a painting I'm working on.
