Ahh yes, I remember the eyes. Your skill looks above mine quite a bit, but maybe I can still help on one note.
One thing you may consider is that the eye lid has a thickness about that of a quarter. I think it looks like you may have some thickness on your upper eyelid, but the bottom eye lid looks paper thin, if that makes sense. it almost looks like the eye lid is not sitting against the eye but is drooping off it a bit.
But overall this is really good work! I hope to achieve your skill here someday soon

You will most certainly get in my tier of skill someday, I still have so much more to learn it can be very overwhelming sometimes.

I noticed it while drawing that I didn't give the bottom eyelid any thickness at all, so I decided to let it be but definetely keep it in mind for the next one.
The reference didn't really show thickness either so maybe thats why I didn't think of it in the first place.

My plan was to check out Sinix Design and look up his video of eyes. Maybe that will help with some of errors still remaining.

Hey guys, I hope everyone has a great day or night.
First Eye finished, I will be filling this page up with a couple of eyes and then do 1 to 3 more pages of eyes to really improve my shading and anatomy.
I definitely noticed how long eyes take to draw, especially when just starting out.

Still trying to find a shading style I like, but that comes with experience I hope.

Back again.
This one took a little bit longer, I can see some errors but they will get flashed out as I continue this page.
It's pretty cool to see improvements (even the tiniest bit) when doing these pages.
As long as I see improvements over the previous one I'm calling it a win.

I can see the improvement as well. This eye is stunning. The second eye definitely feels as though it is more recessed in the socket which looks good! I think its a combination of the how the side of the nose and the upper left corner of the eye socket is treated. Very nicely done! Great improvement.

Yes it must be a combination of those two, I will try to pay more attention to them, see what I can find and report it back.
I'm also working on making my lineart more "square-ish" like, not round it up so often to get a distinct look. Like Sinix Design says in his anatomy series.

Another one for the records.
This one came out more refined I feel like and it did not take as long as the others.

@Lockenheim It's definitely a combination of the side of the nose and the top part of the eye, the values contribute the most on those parts, that's why it looks more recessed. Since every eye is different I probably choose reference for a more recessed eye than the other ones ;D

Page 1 done.
Discovered a new shading brush today, which is by far my absolute favourite, shaded my last eye with only that one.
Did two today because I wasn't satisfied with the fourth one.

I use Clip Studio Paint, so they might not be available on other programs.

Lineart:
- Mostly G-pen
- Sometimes MB Cubebrush

Shading:
- Basic Shading Brush (That's the one I'm using now, It's a user made brush which is available on the Clip Studio Assets Store, I could probably send you a link through discord or something if you use CSP)
- MB Hard Round

The MB Brushes are from Marc Brunets Brush Set, they are really good for learning.

Lineart done for the new page! I really quite like the looks of these.
Will be shading these in the next couple of days and see if I can (maybe) find a style that's more my taste.

Don't have anything to post right now outside of this little candle quick sketch.

This seems like a really difficult piece. Do you have the reference? Might need to break down all the materials down and do studies on them individually. Over all I think it turned out pretty successful!

It does have all kinds of reflections and things like that.
I do have the reference, it's in my room actually ;D
It's a small sketch I did right before showering so I didn't plan to fully render it, just capture some things and that's it ^^
I might do a redraw in the future when I have more time and more skill.

Since I'm on the topic of sketches, I drew this one yesterday.
As much as I enjoy drawing digitaly, I still enjoy my sketchbook and paper ^^

It's that time of the week again.
I finally moved to the full head (portrait) stuff and it's really difficult, I'm now learning to draw the right proportions (which is my main difficulty) right now and then move onto rendering heads.

So first picture and my first ever attempt to draw a human portrait. Not great, but at that moment I knew what to focus on.

Trying to put in the values on my 3rd try.

Back to 2 heads again.

and 1 head.

Now im here, focusing on the right proportions first and then cover the rendering part. I'm definitely not there yet and won't be for a while so I try to level up my other fundamentals in the meantime.

Quick sand dune illustration to learn more about aerial perspective and level up my understanding of 3d space.
