Hello And Welcome ^^

Hey guys, I'm Luke, better known as Lukee1704.
I started the Art School course on 28.10.2021 and since then I'm learning every day (not including weekends).
I'm taking my sweet time understanding everything that is teached in the videos as well as replicating it in the assignments.
My journey started on Draw A Box about a year ago and since then I'm completely invested in drawing and always seeking new challenges.
Constructive criticism and feedback is always welcomed ^^

Collection of the "Measuring Proportions" assignments I have done over the days, these take a little bit of time to draw for what there are, so I hope I can get faster with more experience.

First one is done based on Marc's drawing in the video to get me thinking about Measuring ^^ others are done using the Proko reference poses. Definitely not perfect but I hope you guys can give me a bit of feedback about what to do better.

Censored the images because I don't want to cause any trouble regarding inappropriate things.

Drawings I made today, far from perfect still, but they taught me a lot of things to consider when drawing proportions. They have been getting more fun to do also, so I guess it's a good sign ^^

One thing I definetely notices is that I make the Proportions to big in certain areas which causes others to become more "compressed".

Today I finally started Gestures, been a while since I've last done Gestures so I was out of shape in that regard, but nonetheless I feel like I'm learning something with each page done and each gesture drawn.

This is the first page, harder then I remembered and still have lots of improvement to do!

This is the second page of 30 second poses, feel like I had better control in them but still need a lot to do to improve ^^

These are 10 60 second poses to give me a little bit of breathing room and to focus a bit more on volume

Started with Perspective today, something I've done before but I still wanna do the entire course, that means nothing will be skipped ^^

Great practice so far, keep up the good work but I don't think you have to censor nudity on here though

Thank you very much, definitely need to practice the gestures more, they do however get more fun to do with every page done (Cant bring myself to stop sometimes haha)

Oh that's good to know, didn't want to get a warning or something, better safe than sorry ;D

Began the 1-Point Perspective room assignment today, worked on it for about 4 hours and then took a break to refresh my mind. Gonna finish it tomorrow with more detail, better lineart and so on.
Definetely a fun exercise with a lot of focus involved ^^

1-Point Perspective room complete! Fixed a perspective error, added line weight and overall better lines and some small more details too. Been a blast to make my room. Definetely could have been better overall but I'm proud of it ;D

Street Corner completed! This one was really interesting because I have never actually drawn something like this before, was an absolute blast. Since Marc stated the street should contain 3 buildings I didn't add every single thing.
This one took around 2 hours when the room assignment took around 4+ which has way less details.
I'm gonna stick in Term 1 for a bit so I can get more experience in everything that got teached ^^

Decided to begin the second term instead of practicing first because I just want to learn something new ^^
Did the Line Weight and Shading exercise today (shading was done without smudge tool)
A lot to learn still, but shading is really fun, I haven't done these before so it was all brand new to me.
I will give myself some rest with the upcoming weekend and chill out for the days.
I'm definitely thinking about how I can improve these and get back in the action on monday.

The shading continues, started to experiment a bit and I definitely feel like I improved. Starting to get a "feel" for the shading ^^
Did the color transitions too which helped even further.
I will probably do some more today if I feel like it.

Started Anatomy 1 today and did 4 pages of basic head spheres. Didn't at all guidelines because I'm really tired right now, I will definitely do them tomorrow tho, with all guidelines and really practice them.

Did head spheres again today, but with more guidelines this time. Theses pages helped a lot with improving and I saw couple of mistakes which got worked out as the pages got more full. Gonna move on with the assignments tomorrow.

Your centerlines in some of your heads should be curved more at the top remember that the base started for a sphere so the centerline should be like a crosscountor in a sense at the top but it connects to the center of the chin and goes off the circle as it comes further down.
I would also be careful about you head thickness some of them are too thin or too long making them look a little warped. Keep up the practice though good work!

@Kosmonaut Thank you aswell for the feedback, it really helped a lot with finding mistakes because I was not sure why some of them looked odd. I went back and drew those with your corrections in mind and they look way better:

They are definitely not perfect but that comes with time.
Started to curve the top more and keep the width of the head more, I noticed that the width is really tied to how large the ellipse is, so I will keep an eye out for that more.

Did some ears today and they are really fun, especially when you experiment with the shading.
Had problems with the orientation at first but then it got easier.

Did a couple more ears the past 2 days to really get to know the anatomy.
The improvement I got out of these was definitely worth it.
Tomorrow I will tackle the noses ^^
