Anyway, I'm still recovering and I hope I can finish this weekly. Just started this today. I feel really rusty but here's a wip of what I have so far. Critique always welcomed.

@soluxos Glad you liked the graphic design elements. Its been a while since I did something like that. Might do it more.

So now that I don't have a terrible headache and other things I can get back to doing art and stuff.

Back to working on this character. Also going to be working on other things as well so stay tuned.

Here's a study I did today. Trying to work on blending, hue variation in skin, Starting in color and hair. Anatomy as well. I used a photo reference. I should've worked on the face more but I was trying to go for something stylized with rendering but I failed a lot. Couldn't find a sweet spot for myself.

The new one being the one on the right(still a wip) may be more functional but I think the old one might be better. What do you guys think? Feedback always welcomed.

These are what i've been working on the past 20ish days along with some other things. Working on about 10 portfolio pieces all at the same time. I had a spree of ideas and just started drawing. Hope you like C&C always welcomed.

Finally adding color to this girl. Gotta give her life because the colors now are desaturated and muddy. Going from grayscale to color is always annoying for me.

Love this .I love anything nature oriented and she looks like some sort of druid to me. Digging the lantern in particular. The patterns on it's circle look like vines which is pretty clever. The shoulders are really cool aswell. I think it's that redish color. It makes a really appealing contrast with the green of the outfit. The colors are really nice in general. May i ask how you chose them and why?
Overall i really really like her design and i honestly don't have anything to add for now. Of course i'd like to see yer more rendered. Might have something to add then but so far so good. ^^ Cheers!

These are looking pretty good Malcom, I really like the concept/design of the Bloom character and the concept and design of your latest character.

You've come quite a long ways for sure!!

I think one of the things in your dragon character that seems a bit awkward would be how she is standing on her toes, not many people really do that in what seems to be a bit more of a relaxed pose. As well I feel the design of her should pads could be pushed a bit more to further match the rest of the design, they feel a bit out of place as they stand now. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing your stuff in the future!! ^__^

I'd like to imagine that her original form is the one on the right while the new one is her transfomration or true form.
I have to admit tho, i prefer the original version (the one on the right). I like how her hand is black. It almost looks charred which helps with the theme. Plus the wings are really cool. The new one is cool but she reminds me more of a demon rather than a dragon. Her leg claws resemple an instect or demon. Maybe try adding some more claws to resemble a lizard leg more. I'd also consider adding some scales on her armor and tail. Her weapon sure is cool but it doesn't remind me of a dragon. It almost looks sci fi. Which brings me to my next point. Is this character supposed to belong to a fantasy or a sci fi setting. It's not really clear. Which is perfectly fine if intentional. I mean if you take a look at characters like kerrigan from starcraft you'll get what i mean. She's pretty 'fantasy' looking. And yet she's one of the coolest characters on the franchise. Just pointing that out in case you were going for a pure fantasy or sci fi look.
On the other hand the colors are looking great. A glowing bit here and there for contrast might be cool but they're awesome overall. Lastly i love how her 'armor' resembles human anatomy. It looks natural and it's something Marc points out a lot if i'm correct.
The actual drawing looks pretty cool and you're getting better and better at your craft so kudos on that aswell .Can't wait to see more.

Hey man I read that you were working on your blending and then I also saw some sudden progress from you so I don't know if you need this but what I do is (besides using my custom brush ) I set the flow between 60% and 30% and then for additional effect you could try with a 95~90% opacity then just set your main values and colors and Color pick tool all the way (Alt) , or you could skip all this and just use the blending brush tool , I personally don't like it but it's an option. ( all this if you use photoshop)
