Hello my Name is Marcos and I've begun my art journey like a few weeks ago and have been kind of nervous about posting. I'm still a beginner artist ,However I would like to improve and there is no better way than to receive critiques. My goal is to either work as an illustrator or Concept Artist in the game industry and to be able to express my self through art. I would appreciate any critique. This is my work so far on the figure drawing assignments. I will be posting more at a later date.
Welcome A lot of us are (still) beginners, so there's no need to be nervous!Having said that, your ellipses for the pelvis seem to be a little "off" to me. Especially the one in the lower left. Hope that helps?Best, Julia
yeah i had difficulty figuring out how to do that bottom lefts pelvis since shes sitting. maybe it should be smaller or is it the placement ?
The pelvis is about 50% too big, if you follow the line of her torso down past her legs you can tell where her hips should be.
I would also probably consider bringing all your torso circles down a bit so they give a bit of room for the neck.
Hi, as hyoi mentioned they are often too big. It helps to "copy" her position on your own and then trying to feel your hipbones.
oooh okay, looking at it now i see what youre talking about. the waist circle is too big and is off to the left and the torso circle is too high. This helps alot thank you very much. is there anything else you see that i may have missed that may be wrong? I did have trouble placing the waist of the top left one
For me, the "ellipses" for the pelvis and torso are the main issue. Maybe you just redraw and repost them for a second "check-up"?
