Thanks @patrycja.lerch @daceronine and @gregorya for stopping by!
havent progressed on the animation BUT have been finally planning a layout for my artbook.
From the beginning i knew it was going to be a huge artbook but the text that I wrote to organize just wasn't enough for my pre-crastination personality. then I re-watched Trent Kaniuga's tips on making an artbook and realized what was missing!
I cannot really SEE my progress just through checking checkboxes and or crossing things off a list since this is such a huge proj. but if i do it like he does i can literally see the progress on my layouts. so I just finished making a layout thing for my artbook!
Close up looks like this and a generous rough calculation brings me to roughly 1600 pages for the artbook. This will probs take a few years but hey so long as i see these little black rectangles being filled in with colorful art, im sure i'll be happy with the progress!
This is what i would theoretically consider my terms 7-10 haha though i've been planning this for several years now and actually tried to make the artbook before (without the layout) but didnt get that far and only had like 20 pages.
now that my art is better i think im ready to embark on this adventure.
also.. this is basically me going thru and fully fleshing out the parts of my world that i forgot to build or basically neglected up til now to go build other parts XD
By the time this artbook is done it should get me a lot further along with my plot/characterbuilding too since world/plot/character building are directly correlated to each other. Plot is affected by characters and their motivation and characters are affected by their world and environment.
oh haha I was actually trying to put my layout into one lonnnnng line but apparently 50000 px is the max height for CSP so i had to make another row XD
I also left a line's worth of space below each section in case i needed to add notes or just more pages in the layout.
After a lot of research, I've settled on a file size and finally fiddled with the csp settings and actually bothered to understand how to use the cmc settings XD
Which btw if ur curious looks like this for the artbook
The manga file also has the same settings but with the A4 Size as B5 (ie 1 size down instead.)
Won't know how accurate this is til i draw it out but it could be up to or over this count
Oh I have also been looking into 3d modeling and architecture design since it could probs help me design my enviros better and be a good reference esp for hard perspective designs.
here is a rly good vid i found about architecture design:
Also trying out fonts for the cover of my artbook.. Problem: Have way too many fonts in the CSP fontlist.
Solution: open fontbook on my mac to see which ones i actually downloaded XD
In case anyone is interested this https://www.fontspace.com has some rly nice fonts. Make sure if you want to print someday, check the Commercial Use box. Here's my collection for scifi fonts: https://www.fontspace.com/collection/scifi-fonts-cx6238l
I ended up liking the Yeysk one the most
