Thanks for stopping by @gregorya, @daceronine, @Mimhesis, @patrycja.lerch
As I was mentioning on @JimSt's thread, I have a very bad habit of complaining that I don't have enough time to work on my proj and get especially angsty when life/chores pull me away from my project. Too much negativity is obviously bad for creativity.. tho old habits die hard.. but today, I managed to break that habit.
So before today I had this:
Instead of complaining and being negative and angsty for 20 mins about how I have no time, I actually put it to good use for once and made a small bit of process.. trying to turn around the mindset that this is very little progress and usually i'd be like this is barely any progress and get upset again but today I'm happy that I drew for at LEAST 20 mins.
Due to life happenings (will reveal later in the year or next year once everything is in place and settled...) I will be busy with "life" for the next 3-ish months and have been busy for most of the year for this life thing.. (not art related) which has been a source of frustration as it pulls me away from my proj.. i think I can be happier if I simply shift my mindset like @daceronine and @JimSt do
Anyways, After the 20 mins I made some small progress..
Normally i like to find a large chunk of 1hr + time to sit down and settle in and then draw.. but I noticed that Daceronine and JimSt both tend to mix a bit of chores/housework between sessions.. I'm normally super rigid about having a large chunk of time so if i dont have that chunk i opt to not draw at all, which is dumb i know :3.... dont know how long this habit change will last BUT I am hoping to better utilize my smaller chunks of time instead of wasting it being negative
