Im a little late to the party but its nice to see other people starting post comic stuff and I know @daceronine post the most comic stuff its nice to discuss these kinds of things and see everyone's processes also those dragons are super cute

Your creatures look really good! I really like the high-contrast on the second one and the spiky horns on its face.

I really like the overall flowing curves throughout the third one. The motion of the tail provides a nice counter-motion to the rest of the body. The line of action plus the tail provide a sense of buoyancy, which is then enhanced by the smooth iridescent shading and coloring. All of which scream fun and fantastical! Pretty wing!

I felt like joining dtiys, obviously I can't go the easy way and my ambition got ahead of me.

I don't draw a lot of character interacting with each other and such drawings never left my sketchbook. Mostly because I am afraid of messing up anatomy and more people means more things can go wrong. But after finishing this one I will start doing more. I am stressing too much about making good anatomy and it holds me back. If I failed those times I backed off it would have been much simpler

Some Eve sketcheees

Eve from the start was going to be more androgynous. I mean her first sketch was cape with 'eyes'. After being turned into vampire she doesn't do well mentally. She stops wearing long heavy dresses and goes for more practical clothes.

I thought about giving her (for a short time) a generic soldier outfit which just looks bad on her (on purpose). She is small and its too big. She doesn't care about her appearance anymore. And then we get transformation as she starts feeling better.

For the comic I prepared I will go with the 'after' look. Its just simple outfit for this. And I can have 'the buying clothes for Eve' for another silly short comic. Should ink this one before...

I know its badly explained but I don't want to make it too long

And I started working on stories for oneshots. I have ideas for some tales about gods that can be randomly refered to in 'the big' comic like folk tales and legends. And I looked back on the unrelated shortish comic I mentioned earlier

Its funny because there is fear of making generic and obvious story. Oh I want this to be unique and all that stuff because no one will read this. But I am also a reader. And I will read hundreds versions of the same story. I will even look for similar story made by different people because I like it so much

Eve concept looks interesting. She seems to be the serious, stoic type. Can't imagine her with the skirt and twin tails from the sketch xD. The new design really fits her, with the high contrast between the black pants and the white / clear shirt. Looking forward to her final look in the comic!

Yep, you should do it the way you envision and like it as your own fan and reader. Barely anything is "original", while at the same time, the personal touch and flavor still make your work unique.

She is. There was an idea that after trauma she locked in the 'child state' so I was trying out skirts and more 'girly' stuff. But I can't see this version either, I prefer her being serious. The ribbons on hair come mostly from me liking flowy things on characters and she has short hair. She has huge sleeves so it should be enough flowy but will think more about it

Finished entry for dtiys. I love how this came out. It has a nice feel to it. I can feel sparkles. Background is what I usually do but it somehow looks better. Just can't get enough of these colors.

Guy on the left is my character Rai

I kind of forgot about the 'blue' shirt and cape and remembered about this at the very end. I hope it isn't as bad as I think it is.

Also I finally made serratus anterior correctly on the first try. It is a bit covered but it made me happy. This zigzag always left me confused. Small victory

Some stages. using gradient maps on value sketch to set the tone really help. I usually start with soft brushes and it often leaves some parts uncovered. I don't have to worry about it with colored base underneath

Quickish portrait for art trade. I could easily spend more time refining and fixing stuff but it was supposed to be sketch. Looks pretty nice for the amount of time I spent on it

And sketches of my very messy main character. She doesn't have a name yet

She has the most fleshed out story but only recently I got struck with idea for her appearance. I wasn't sure about some parts but I can't unsee it so ye it will stay.

She is half elf, her great grandfather (still working on time frames) was a human hero and older elves hate it. She is the last one with ability to communicate with spirits and elders keep pushing her. She runs away from responsibilities and would love to leave the place for good. Has hard time with people and prefers being alone.

The dtiys looks great! All the little highlights look really nice, you even added that translucent effect on the long ear and the red lines contrast really well. The folds on the cloths are all really well done too.

I know Rai is your character, so who's the lady?

The art trade sketch also looks really nice. Your values and face details have come a long way.

The other characters are from city so they need more clean look. She is forest elf so I wanted to have this wild nature feel. But she is also partially human so I want to show this part too

I've been searching for names but I can't feel any. I like Fae (and all other versions of it) but I call the forest creatures fae but I may change it. I thought about Meliae (tree nymph)

Damn Haru looks good. I'm not into guys but even I can see he's a fine looking guy.

Features are really defined, shadows look great and there's just the right amount of texture to it. Eyelashes and eyes look fantastic. I know I've said it before but you've really come a long way from the first posts I saw.
