It's been a while since I have last posted. I've been very busy with work, watching the art videos, gathering reference materials, etc. Though, I personally find that being away from my art for long periods of time allows me to catch my mistakes faster.
I did this piece for the composition assignment by focusing on the element, "emphasis," by focusing on the hole. Though, I guess I can add proportion to the list with that pedestrian there. It took me a while to get the colors to what I imagined them to be. So far, I got it pretty close to what I imagined in my head.
Environmental art is not my wheelhouse. I'm definitely a lot comfier with character art. But it was nice to get away from it to improve my environmental painting skills and process. I hope to apply what I learn about coloring from this assignment to character art.
