Good job on the pose, foreshortening can be hardI would suggest only to enlarge her head and tone down the traps
Cheers
Hello all! more gestures and added clothes on the girl with the gun Finished sketch and line art. Also started with the shading.@snakker Thank you once again for your help! Yes foreshortening is really hard. it took me 2-3 hours to get it to make it look okay.Clothes are so hard to draw. There are so many details.
I will probably leave it like this. I am kinda happy with the skirt but not so happy with the shirt. Also the socks where even harder than I thought. I couldn't get them right and even now there still still not that good.
Hello everyone!I tried clip studio paint! I had bought it a while ago and I tried it this weekend. It seems really good will probably use it more in the future.Continuing with more clothes exercises. I am having a bit of trouble with soft edges. They look a bit messy. I am trying to make them look a bit better but not sure how to.Will do the rest of these. I feel like they have good complexity.
More gestures and more clothing exercises!
Hello everyone! for these I noticed some bad habits I had and tried to get rid of them. Basically I noticed that I was zooming in way too much and I was drawing with my wrist rather than my elbow/shoulder. I tried to remind myself be zoomed out for this. I also I tried to make it look a bit more "3D". although not extremely successful I think it is a bit better that my previous tries.
I moved to the exercises of the second week.I re watched the lesson and tried adding some clothes on a model.
Hey everyone! I got an iPad so I can draw away from my office.I did a quick portrait to test out Procreate.
Hey congrats on the ipad! Itโs a game changerAnd nice job on the portrait
Thank you @snakker. Yes I am really exited for the iPad. I work an office job and my back was hurting many times while drawing. Now I can be more comfortable.I watched a video about about lips and tried to replicate it.
Yo these lips are looking nice!
Hello everyone! Made another simple portrait sketch and some gestures trying to get used to the iPad. I like it a lot so far.
was that Sam Does Arts lip video? These look really good! (and also a lot like his style, why I was wondering, I was feeling too lazy to follow along when I watched his video, but now I want to re-watch it so I can!)
Thank you @matthewwemes ! Yes that was Sam's video. His way of working is really simple so it was easy to follow. It helped me understand shading a bit more. Definitely check it out!
This time I did some studies for gesture drawings
I traced some figures at first and then tried to use the new techniques in gesture drawingAlso did another quick portrait. These are really fun so I wanna do more
One more face for today
Heads are getting better and better
keep at it!
Thank you shaker, I do feel like I am getting better but I still have along way to go!About todays exercise Marc recommends in his schedule to study other artists work as well. I tried to find something with nice clothes and many foldsThe art I found was from bonnieI only did lineart this time.
Hello everyone! I liked the previous exercise so I did one more. This time I picked a picture from this artist rits_megI thought I should show a bit about my progress. I want to be able to draw those cool mannequins that I see other artists draw but I am not quite there yet. I try to do a different style with the face because I don't want to draw anime. I want to go a bit of a semi realistic style or at least a bit more western (not sure yet where I will end up).
Hello everyone! I tried to use what I learned in the previous two exercises to a model reference.
I think I will try shading this one
