And some creatures!

Lafi, a common species of woodland critter. Quick little buggers.

Lafi-Arú. Same species, possessed by spirits. The lesser spirits that choose the lafi as hosts are beings of watchfulness and paranoia. The creature never sleeps again, and has the power to cast (and see through) illusions. Though not the most physically imposing monster, they are immensely feared by woodsmen and hunters; those who approach them lose their sense of direction, and the paths of the forest seem to shift around them. Without ever laying eyes on the beast, the victim will realize too late they have crossed paths with the Lafi-Arú; and are hopelessly lost.

I see you're still going strong. Did I ever say how much I loved your sketches. I'm sure I did but it's worth repeating! I also really like the Lafi-Arù. It looks very interesting and menacing.

Thank you! I hope this sketchbook can be entertaining to people, despite the mess

I'll just keep making sketches of my characters, hoping i get a feel for their design sometime before i die!

Dude your getting better and better each time I check this blog. Always love those facial expressions. They really sell the character personalities very well. Keep up the good work.

Thank you very much!

Here's a few things!

Fighting goblins is tricky. When they seem to be retreating, they are actually advancing.

A bit of background, for anyone who wants to read!
The characters in the last picture are the Brenneric siblings.
Supposedly descended from the legendary hunter Brennus, nowadays the Brenneric clan is a big name in the firearms business.

From top-left to bottom-right:
Isidore (35) : The black sheep of the brood, Isidore never wanted anything to do with the family trade; he likes using guns, not selling them! He's been a soldier and a hunter, and built quite a reputation. "Captain Brenneric" stands for awesome marksmanship, ruthless tactics and terrible people skills.
Camilla (32) : A dedicated and busy alchemist, Camilla puts her work, and her passion for science and research, ahead of most other things. As much as she would love for people to pay attention to her ground-breaking studies on crop fertilizers, she's best known for her equally stellar (if partially accidental) development of explosives.
Baldwin (30) : The successor to the clan's business, and a rising voice of leadership in the Gunsmiths Guild. A kind and charitable man, Baldwin is well loved by all who don't already have a reason to dislike the Brennerics.
Dimas (27) : One of the youngest people in the nation to achieve the rank of Scholar, and pass the High Council's examination, Dimas now serves the nobility directly as an appointed judge. This is seen by a few as something of a "betrayal" of his bourgeois origins, but Dimas cares for nothing other than the pursuit of wisdom and justice!
Núria (17) : Núria seems to have inherited all of the talent, all of the intelligence and none of the crazy her clan is known for. If only they knew.
Nuno (17) : At least he tries.

As usual, I love all of those sketches! Just out of curiosity, are there any artists in particular that you feel influenced the way you draw?

Hmm, that got me thinking. I have of course picked up influences from all the art i like, but since you asked "in particular" i think the answer is no, since no name really sticks out to me... In the past i haven't studied the works of other artists very closely, only started doing it more recently.
I've read a lot of manga, for sure! I really like Berserk, Vinland Saga and JoJo, among others.
