13/6/22 | Study updates and a bit of nude figure drawing's assignments
Hello lovely people! I'm back, and I hope you are doing all well !
I've been busy these days with some extra personal studies I am doing ( and that's the reason for my time gap in the posts ). However, I do draw and practice stuff daily, which most of them tie to the lessons in the long run. THEREFORE, if you'd like to see what I fully practice, study and draw, feel free to tell me, I'll be more than glad to discuss my combination of studies and assignments with u!
In the screenshot below, onto the image, I draw the angles (RED faint lines) of the main forms, like the ribcage, pelvis etc. It helps me know where they are facing and also their perspective angle. I try to find the landmarks (like edge of ribcage) to know where its facing. This is helpful for gestures.
Separately, in another layer and on top of the bodies, I draw with pink a robo bean, to familiarize myself better with the two volumes of the ribcage and pelvis.
in another exercise, I do some quick 30 second beans by Proko, side to side with the images. ( if you try and do beans, start with the simple ones and then move to robo beans ).
In this screenshot, I draw certain beans by Proko to understand better how to draw certain versions of the bean that I am weak at ( mainly being twists of the torso ). Below, I draw 10 robo beans by reference to human models ( ignore the +10, I mustve drawn 10 more somewhere and deleted that ). Then you can see some gestures! And then I got some notes I write on the spot.
( Short self feedback, I need to start focusing less on the outlines for my gestures and more on the flow itself. Some food for thought for the following months ).
And these are the short exercises I did on 12th of June. Gestures and beans. Ill do more direct to nude figure drawing exercises soon, no worries!
That's it for this post. Leave your thoughts below, or tell me if you liked something from my exercises. Feedback is immensely appreciated as well !!!
