1/9/22 - BIIIIIIG UPDATE on Nude figure drawing assessments!
Heyo. After I returned, I had a very rough week, with me coughing blood and having to be hospitalized for couple days. Now Im back on track and healthy thankfully! I did progress on term 1, since I realized how slowly I am progressing on it. All left is a proportion diagram to practice ( I am using david finch's one, I like the musculature indications ), and im going straight into perspective section!
Warmups with gestures n figure drawings, then I spent 30 mins on 2 observational figure drawings with measuring tools. ( zoom in for gestures, I draw them really lightly ).
Btw, heres an indication of how I measure the model roughly for the measuring tools figure ( tho I wish I was more careful when I drew them, since I tend to focus more on speed now ).
Also, here's some more exercises. Beans, tubes with contours n sections, angle of the main forms / basic landmarks, and some base skeleton figures. I had done this back in june, but finished it now.
There I got another warmup + figure with measuring tools exercise. The second one took me 45mins - 1 hour, due to deciding to draw bit of the face too and not putting some proper construction. When I block the main volumes, I also put some indicative ones for pelvis, chest, and even a simple loomis head, like a normal gesture/figure drawing. I have issue with horizontally matching the figure, mostly due to impatience, something I fix quickly with lasso tool. I added some flats to make her look prettier too ^^

Before going digital again after the hospital thingy, I did 1 practice of David Finch's proportions. Then, I did some study on arm muscles. Lower arm muscles is a definite killer for me rn, Ill study them properly later on, though for now I got a better understanding of main muscle volumes around the body.
