8/9 - Extra proportions
Nothing too serious for now. Just a couple proportions I did, 2 times quicker than yesterday. I need to try and simplify the volumes and musculature if I wanna go faster. Nevertheless, I hope that in the near future I learn it better. For now all I need to know is some analogies, like:
- Start with the head as an oval
- 1/3rd of it for neck
-2 heads down and u got the belly button, as well as ribcage length.
-1 head more and u got the pelvis height.
-1.5 heads down and u got the knees, covering aroung half the head "box".
-2 heads down u got the whole lower leg, and half a head for the feet.
Some other analogies/rules I create in my mind are:
-Inner pit of the arm is around the belly button, depending on the angle it can be higher.
-deltoid muscles according to sex is either roughly a head or 2/3ds of it.
-Palm of the hand starts at the parallel line where pelvis ends.
-Feet start just a bit higher than the 2 heads indication I mentioned last above.
-Think of knees as little shields. One bigger overlapping a smaller one. They look like they point at 3/4 sides.
-Zig zag pattern down from pectoral muscles to obliques. helps to find the reverse U shape that defines the ribcage indentantion. Same zig zag is in female model but the boobies overlap it. Place the breasts later on.
i also got some indications of landmarks, as well as simplification of the whole model for easier approach. Mostly simplifying muscles, angles etc. U can also see continuous flowing lines, which help me build the figure.
note: ah shit, I think I messed the pelvis indications. Ill fix em next time.
Hope these help. Cya!
