This illustration tells a story about adventures of hard-boiled survivor Lord Fubar in a painterly-beautiful post-apocalyptic world, where the pristine nature reigns and where in any moment you can find your death from numerous dangerous creatures and unexpected traps that constantly appear around you. At one day, after years of wanderings, when the sun almost disappeared behind the horizon line, Fubar finally found desired old sushi-bar - the only thing that he was dreaming of, in this unquiet and unforgiving universe, but...there's someone, behind the shattered glass, in the darkness of abandoned place. Mystrious person with ferocious glowing eyes that staring at our hero. Friend or foe? Beast or human? Who's that person? And, that more important, what will happen next?

Man, this thread is inspiring. I wish I could do as you ask and actually give a critique, but I'm not sure that there's anything I could add to the already staggering discussion going on.

I guess my one statement would be keep up the energy! Your work is at it's best when you've got lots of energy behind your strokes, you can feel it coming through. It's almost a tangible thing.

I think It's really one of the most valuable advices, because it's pretty comprehensive. If you don't have passion to put in your artworks then all kinds of minor advices about composition, anatomy, values, etc., become simply worthless. For me this is greatest struggle lately. So, thank you that reminded me of that one more time!
