Woo! More stuff! My version / adaptation of Sangria, an original character by Makuzoku. I painted her in my own style and made her a little older too, probably around mid-20s. This was a lot of fun to do and I hope I did her justice (complete with a tiny Pummy pendant ). As you can see I originally created this little drawing back in 2012. I thought I would do a better one, 5 years on. I made a few different coloured versions too, inspired by Hyde Chang.

TOO HOT FOR THIS (CENSORED)

This particular piece was inspired by Mad Max - Fury Road. She had to pull over due to some gearbox problems and tried to fix it, but really it's just too hot. The desert isn't the best place to be, especially with a dust storm incoming.

This was a bit of a colour experiment, pushing the values as much as possible. It first started off as a quick sketch on paper, which turned into an inked line-art before being transferred over to Photoshop. Process video on Youtube.

Look, something new! I've been working on this on-and-off for a while now and I finally thought I'd post it. I was trying out a new technique (once again) and aiming to get a really realistic look. I'm happy with the result but I think I prefer more fictional and textured outcomes. For example, I was very tempted to add some robotic elements and messy brush strokes in there....
Anyway, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did painting it!

Well, that was a monstrous update XD There's too much good stuff to comment on all of them, but I loved seeing some before and after of your work. You've improved so much in those 5 or 6 years and that's always inspiring to see.

Also, do you really have such long and dense hair in real life? If that's the case, that's really awesome. If not, well it still makes for a beautiful picture anyway.

So, I guess that's all. I'm already looking forward to your next update. Keep up the good work!

SPIRIT GUARDIAN

The Spirit Guardian watches over his tribe, protecting them from evil spirits and storms. This initially started as an anatomy study but after watching Apocalypto and Atlantis again...well, voila! I wanted to keep the design fairly simple so I can focus more on the muscles and rendering. One layer.

WINTER WARRIOR

The winter winds guide the young warrior through the snowy valley as she looks back at their leader. He had sacrificed himself to save his people, leaving her to take command of the tribe.

The first watercolour painting of 2018! I sketched her out on A3 watercolour paper with a 2B pencil. I then painted on top with watercolours and coloured pencils. I used white Manga Ink for the highlights. After inking and polishing everything, I wasn't quite happy with the background and some details so I went into Photoshop and painted directly on top of it. I hope you like!

Crazy, crazy Improvement! I really loved the portrait with the NEEDING A HAIRCUT it really resonated with me 100%. Probably because of the wavy hair !

Nice update once again! My favorites are probably Ruler Of The Deep and Winter Warrior. The mix of watercolor, pencils and digital works seamlessly.
