So mini update, and mostly to keep myself accountable. Perpective is kind of the bane of my art life XD so I got a book “framed perspective” and am going over the basics and will try to do some more perspective stuff again, also watching the wall video now and well, yeah that’s all i got 😂 i might not be sure how to go about perspective and typically either flake off what i start doing for perspective stuff or avoid it altogether.
Any tips appreciated 🙈 I really do want to learn more and get a handle on actually being able to visualize and at least sketch initial environments or compositions.I see myself painting large scale scenarios full of creatures and people doing all sorts of stuff (a castle attack by dragon riders, a battle at sea during a storm with fireballs flying in the sky I dunno big things) but to get there I need to be able to conjure up something using perspective and get a better handle on it kn practical terms.
Problem is when i think of perspecitve and grids Im like well, i need a horizon line here, some vps there and well, in my brain its just incompatible with anything i imagine X_X its just daunting and tedious and technical while at the same time i want to organically make bigger compositions but I just cant see it. That and when i try to make something in perspective from imagination like this wall thing i go blank
Wow that was long, sorry about that, here’s hoping next year ill look back at this and be proud to say i beat the hurdles, or at least am going in the right directions
Cheers
