Great study!
The main thing that stands out to me is that the entire picture is fighting for attention. I think this is mostly due to the high saturation of the entire image. To me, it looks like the skin on her face and neck are very different so it makes it look like she's wearing a lot of makeup which isn't in the source material. You could shift the hues of the hat to be slightly different from her hair to help it stand out. Removing details from areas you don't want to draw the eye to will help guide the viewer to the main focal points.

Yo happy new year to everyone! Been away for a while and took about a month off art XD getting back to it but away from home these days, did a sketch of Lae’zel from baldurs gate 3, gonna paint soon. Highly recommend the game!

I have to admit this one is pretty fun and challenging as I am blocking in the 3D forms, I have to be careful and read the forms under the “war paint” the dark dots, her lipstick etc, at least that’s my way around this one. Also really hard to nail that githyanki skin color XD

Some progress for now. Getting these eyes right is a struggle so i am using another layer (line, paint and now eyes) let me know if you spot anything weird

Yo @mitsuki-youko thanks mate! Been on and off this one as im trying to travel home but its been chaotic thanks to some flight cancellations (due to the whole boeing planes thing) anyhow, shes starting to look like someone now XD

So little update, finally done with my latest bout of travels so I continue on my Lae’zel study, this is by far the longest Ive worked on a single portrait study it’s 10 hours so far, almost done now
