Alright, so new year, new resolutions and whatever, never been a fan of the thought but I am going through what I've done last year and analyzing what I'll be doing this year on my art journey. This year will have some challenges that have nothing to do with art, fortunately good challenges, but still, more adult life obstacles XD
So, I haven't really done much in terms of any more book reviews because I have only used parts of various books for the most part of term 2. Now I am going to be focusing on the remainder of term 3 and then term 4, and being the book loving type I have compiled the books I'm going to be reading this year. (disclaimer, I think for the most part, books can be really overrated, but it just wouldn't be me without some coffee and a book on the subject im learning XD).
During term 3 I'll be using these two, will finally push on with Zbrush before deciding on the whole zbrush vs blender dilemma
Will be referring to these two on subject of perspective and shadows in perspective. Also, characters in perspective (framed perspective II focuses on shadows and characters). Not the most exciting topics for me as I hate perspective but these books make it kinda fun
Finally, and the reason I'm excited for this year, going to be reading me plenty of color theory! I'm especially excited to start reading up Color and Light by Gurney as I'm a huge gurney fan.
As for working on my imagination, I'm actually going to try out dungeons and dragons, gonna DM for some friends of mine (none of us, all adults, have ever played this so this is gonna be funny!). It's a total aside, but I mention it cause as we do different things, they interact, and I've definitely noticed that just by prepping and reading lore I am getting some vivid imagery in my head so maybe it will have a positive effect on my ability to make art down the line
Gonna start right up now with the torso videos
cheers!
