Another mini sketch from today, this time widening the perspective to three point in order to emphasize the verticality

So these are a couple more exercises today, I'm doodling some faces as that's something I definitely want to focus on hard next term and I want to see a little before and after so posting those doodles here for that.. The flying crystal cube things is definitely inspired by Moana's cubes
I also tried constructing some skellies in different poses within a cube and I tried drawing a mini cityscape (I suck at drawing architecture with little details X_X )

Construction doodles from imagination

And I tried out the bean now and experimented with some more doodles from imagination, I feel it helps a lot

Hey everyone, man, it really sucks when you look back at something you felt was good only to see it the next day and feel it was terrible XD

Anyways, today I reflected and I think I try going too fast. I slowed down and really took my time trying to get a nice figure study of one picture and try shading/painting it - do note, I have never done this kind of study of a figure before, still WIP, aprox 2h in

This was the lineart, not exactly 1:1 I tried keeping it slightly dynamic

Another WIP, I realized now that painting faces is HARD but somehow therapeutic, feels like I'm sculpting, thinking of all the lights and shadows and contours

Changed the pose a bit by manipulating parts using the lasso tool then painting over, starting to render the arm and chest

and I'm off to work

Yo, snakker here, done with the study. I feel I can keep on rendering forever, but I'm satisfied with how it came out. Please, any and all critique are welcome. I'm posting her without clothes (but with the value changes that the clothes cause on her skin from pressure) and with the clothes. Also, had to move the ear which was scary, just lassoed it, moved it where it seemed right and painted over the gaps. Also fixed up her eye-nose-forehead area a bit more. All in all I think that was like 5 hours total on this study X_X

Alright! All done with this study, there's probably more stuff I could improve but I'm overall satisfied with the result. Had a lot of fun with this one

Any critique is highly appreciated

(so far I've noticed the nose is too big, his left eye is seemingly smaller than the right (along with the orbit), his right calf is bigger than the model's and his right knee is kinda weird. I might get to fixing those tomorrow, but man I'm way too tired, gonna call it a day

You the shading looks so detailed 😲 This is amazing work 🔥
Maybe between his right foot and left leg you could make a little shadow at the leg (like in reference), so it doesn't blur together :}

I worked a little more on it this morning, I tried increasing the contrast between the foot and thigh as you suggest, I also increased the contrast overall using curves and a little bit more shading using a combination of soft brush and the hard brush, tried fixing the knee, shape of the head, shape of the right foot, left hand and the left pectoral muscle. Added some highlights missing on his left forearm

Great job!
The human skin is really hard for me to paint!
I am also argree with @prinzmoana said.
The terminator line is obvious about his back and leg from the reference photo.
