Hi I am John, currently working as an animator in Toronto and making a transition into illustration and visual development. My goal is work on stylized art for entertainment industry. Decided to take this course to have more structured learning cause majority of what I know was self taught from online resources, artbooks and a few workshops. My favorite artists consist of Cory Loftis, Jen Zee, Nicholas Kole, JC Leyendecker, Yoh Yoshinari, Akihiko Yoshida, TB Choi, Ben Fiquet, etc, too much to name.

Been going back to the basics with Term 1 assignments and some of the assignments I added a little extra to help challenge myself. Feel free to give feedback and looking forward to learning with everyone.

30 Sec Gestures

I think you're doing pretty well so far. The one thing I noticed, which is something I also do, is that when doing your gestures you're going back over some of your lines multiple times, I imagine to get the''right'' line. I think it can actually be a good exercise to not do that too much and just having each line you put down being ''the line''. I think it helps with building confidence in your lines and also help you develop a better accuracy over time.

Obviously, I'm not saying you should do that if you don't feel like it, but maybe it's just something you could try and see how it works for you.

Anyway, keep up the good work!
