Hello everyone! I've been spending the last year or so studying more intently on becoming a concept artist/illustrator. I've always loved fantastical characters and creatures in games and movies. It's kinda hard for me to stay focused when learning (there are sooooo many tutorials out there y'all!) so when I saw the structured approach of ArtSchool, I was excited.

Anyway, I decided to tackle the hardest subject first. I usually avoid perspective so I wanted to work on that first

Simple studies of HL, converging lines and vanishing point

Some cubes and shapes:

A room scene. I made this from random reference from the internet and I'm not super happy. I'm currently working on another of just my studio room

Hi PaintedSword, and welcome to Artschool

Your room looks good! Usually people start with the Photoshop and figure drawing lessions, so they can avoid perspective as long as possible. Pretty cool you tackled it first!

Phew, well to be honest I kept finding reasons to avoid doing this assignment. Perspective has also been challenging so I wasn't too keen to work on it and with holidays, there was plenty of distraction. Well, I finally finished the last part of the assignment today! Woohoo!

Well, it's been a while in the making but here are my assignments for the Photoshop course:

I struggled a lot with the last one, the shadows are too saturated, with too much red in her hair. I couldn't quite get it using Levels and Color Balance. I wanted to make a selection to edit those specific parts sooooo bad. But I kept to the tools we were allowed to use for this one XD
