Hello folks!

Name's Alexandra, someone might remember me from Permanoobs' forums. I'm still very much a noob and I hope that by starting an online sketchbook with (hopefully) daily posts, I'll be able to grow as an artist and make lotsa new friends : )

I draw mostly characters and I hate perspective with a burning passion.

Let's start with my latest finished work! Would love to hear some feedback. I feel like he isn't interesting enough? He was originally supposed to be Koschei Bessmertnyj (Koschei the Undead), from Russian folklore. But now I feel like I didn't do him justice <___<

Ahh haha... I miss the days of Permanoobs, when I was posting daily to my sketchbook and had discussions with other artists. I wanna start doing that again. There is no way on earth that I will do daily posts, but I will try and post as often as possible/whenever I remember.

Hii! Welcome! You've made such a huge progress for those years!
I really like your design on the girl and your shading, shapes and just overall everything looks better than the previous post. With Koschei Bessmertnyj the colors look a bit muddy as if your whole palette is in the mid range and there isnt much contrast.
I hope this helps in any way ! I can't wait to see more ^^

@SergejFel Hey there, np, and same right back at ya! Heck yeah, let's do this thing!!

I always do these portrait studies, but this time decided to challenge myself by using only 1h. Otherwise I just spread the process throughout the day by working like 15min at a time, and I just get into copymode.

And this one I actually did in 2018/2019 and finally decided to give it a last coat of polish. Very Wlop inspired!

Entered CDC in the last minute!! Or well, 40min before the deadline. Theme was Norse Gods and I picked Skadi who is associated with skiing, bowhunting, winter and mountains. This is like, the comfiest nook of my comfort zone, I couldn't miss out.

I've been super lazy and unmotivated lately. Been working on this dtiys piece for several days, it was quite challenging, couldn't get it right. I want to challenge myself more often, and do more full pieces with a backgrounds (even if it's just lassoed clouds..), instead of just plain portraits.
