thanks man, its the next day and yeah I think I have some kind of cold. I'll try and get the construction done but I also got some other stuff on my plate today.

Ok I finished up the portrait today. I am not very experienced when it comes to drawing the individual parts of the face, so that is something I am definitely going to have to work on. I put a picture of my own face below this one afterwards to make note of all the things I did wrong/need work. Looking forward to next week, and the week after, being done with finals so I can finally focus on the course 100%.

It has been a while since I have last worked on art, studying for finals and other stuff has been taking up a lot of my time. tonight I had a little over an hour to myself so I decided to touch base and do anatomy assignments 1 and 2.

I took a break from studying math to do another of the anatomy dailies. I am going to put off actually working on the assignments to the week after next because of finals.

It has been a long while since I have uploaded, as I have mostly been doing dailies. Today I was able to do 2 head copies. I don't think I will be doing another Guy Davis drawing (the one on the right) too soon again, as his style is very spontaneous and hard to replicate.

I've decided that I am going to focus more on the daily assignments rather than the copying assignment, because in the long run practicing head shapes and gesture is likely more important. So I am going to leave it at 5 copies rather than ten, and use the remainder of the week to grind out dailies.

Today I was working on dailies, and putting a lot more time into them than I would have normally, and these were the results. I like how the gesture came out, I think I may be on to something with it?

It has been a long while, but I am now back. I have been working on this spread to practice heads and facial features. So far I have done ears and noses.

Yo lots of great work so far! keep at it. I do note a bit of inconsistencies on the side cuts of the skull spheres, when drawing following Marc's take on the loomis method I find having almost perfect two-thirds proportion of the side cut circle is essential and when at angles, it can get a bit difficult as the angle of the ellipse starts changing. When done right you can tell because the overall head shape and jaw proportions seem to work.

Also, when designing the ramus and angle of the mandible note that the ramus tends to be a bit more vertical initially before rounding out - but ofcourse there's lots of anatomical variation.

I finished up the portrait study today, I will try and get the 5 heads from imagination done before the end of the week

Head copy #1 is done, once I got the guideline for the head down properly it went pretty smoothly.

I have been working on the other heads from imagination but it has been slow going. My back and shoulders have both been bugging me something fierce lately.

I got number 4 done today, will start working on #5. The next week might blend assignments a bit because I will be gone for a bit and it will bleed into the week after. I think prioritizing heads over anatomy assignments may have been a good call because I am trying to focus on characters. I can come back and do the perspective once I get a better handle on characters.

5 is finally done, and with that I will now start work on the 10 head copies. It will probably be bled from this week to next week. Then I might go quiet for a while because of going to Uni.

Well I head off to Uni tomorrow, and before then I wanted to try and get something "finished" for myself. So all of yesterday and today I worked on this head of a character I thought of, using Marc's video on cell shading to get the colouring and shading done (both of which I need to work on).

I am back. I know I have been quiet for a while, it has been because I've been getting adjusted to uni, and I have had a lot more on my mind than usual. The 10 heads copy assignment has been more of a chore than I expected, so I decided to do a planes of the head/shading practice. I quite like how it came out. The 3d model was what I based mine off of. Looking back now I think I should have made the shadows on the left darker.
