A montrous knight from another dimension on a pilgrimage. Summons allies from home dimension with mirror shield and dimension tearing sword.

This makes me think of the Boreal Knights from Dark Souls 3 in a good way! I like the 4th, 5th and 8th ones the most

I like the silhouette design of your characters. I like how your focus isn't a beautiful male or female, but a grotesque knight. I like your concepts so far.

Oh snap, i didn't even think about that, but now that I think about it, I totally see it too! I'm definitely gonna include some pictures of the Outrider Knights and Vordt in my references once I start focusing the design. Thanks!

Thanks! I love designing monsters, I think it's because I played the Oddworld games and watched the movie Small Soldiers far too much as a child lol. I am a little tired of perfectly toned humans with nice skin and good faces, and I've gotten flack from some people IRL for not drawing that kind of stuff, so I appreciate the support in this regard.

Here is both my reference sheet for the first pass and a quick sketch for the face. Once I get a solid design down I'll break down the parts and try to find plausible anatomy references for what I've created.
Might do more faces. But i really like what I got on the third doodle, so i turned it into something more solid. It isn't in the reference sheet, but I put some Catfish whiskers on him for good measure.

Probably work on armour tomorrow. Hype!

Did some body stuff. The initial thumbnails i originally did were cool, but ultimately they were far too human in silhouette. Had to be more monstrous. I think this worked out pretty well, admittedly I could probably push the design further into the realm of being monstrous, but I am not sure if it fits the idea. And of course he needed polka-dots and a purple sword.
Now...how am I going to put armour on this thing...lol

Did a quick drawing of armour over the previous drawing. It admittedly wasn't as hard as I thought to get armour on his weird body. Thankfully, using the Boreal Knights from Dark Souls as a reference for armour made it pretty easy with his snake-like body.
This is just a base for future armour designs. Gonna work in some of the stuff from references into his armour. I want him to have some large plates on his shoulders and thighs that act as portals for smaller monster allies to crawl out of.

Couldn't help myself. Had to do some more armour drawings for Ozwald here. More specific pieces. Iterations on said pieces will likely follow. Though the shield and the Plated Arm feel really on-point already.
