First participation in this contest that I look at since these beginnings. There are very nice participations, excellent character designs. For this contest, I chose a protector hero, his mission is to save a sacred forest, threatened by a mechanical monster built by man.

Here are some sketches of the character's search. Originally, the design of the forest guardian was represented by a half-armor, half-tree entity animated by a dryad. This conception has changed over the sketches to become a half-robot, half-tree entity, fed by a magic seed.

With the deadline that leaves us extra time, I will try to finish my participation. Here is the continuation of the research on the hero and the villain. For the hero, I wanted to represent an imposing guardian by its size, by its template. A colossus who protects the only forest that exists on a devastated ground devastated by enormous machines built by the man. The human being having long since disappeared, these machines are left to themselves, the only way to stop them is to destroy them.
