I like it not having normal facial features to make seem as foreign as possible but maybe I could add little things that give the feeling of facial features

God this is creepy. So Thumbnail 2 does seem to work the best, and I think that it seems to correspond the most with scale image number 3 or 4.

Also I love the trailing away stones tied by sinew in the first thumbnail more than the most recent.

You could also make that layout a bit more interesting by having a tendril shooting towards the viewer, a bit hard but it would be pretty awesome and provide some easy foreground.

Also, no face! super creepy!

Do you mean the stone arrangement in first concept page or the first thumbnail?

The very first concept page, first posted image in this thread. Its a subtle difference, but it's there.

Oh my god, this is such a creepy design! It's awesome

I like thumnail 6, but if you're having trouble with the perspective you could go with 3. It's similar but it might be easier for you. Although I also like number 4 as it make it look like a giant, almost godly creature is slowly approaching to devour you.

I might stick with 6 but get rid of the city and just have it in a mountain range. if not I'll probably do 4

So the perspective might be hard, but come on! Thats a cool creepy ass image! Stick with it! Maybe try to find some shots aimed up in new York city near time square that are using a wide angle lens with some edge distortion.

And I love the choice of having it be mid day! The superposition of a clear beautiful day with such an overpowering abomination is pretty awesome.

The thumbnail with the overpass is also a pretty cool idea, but I still like the one that you labeled final WIP the most. I love coming back to this thread, so creepy cool.

WIP UPDATE

i figured out how to make this composition work I needed to get rid of the tall buildings so it wouldn't be so crowded and I faded out The Shepard so it looks like it's in the distant atmosphere, though it needs more work to be convincing.

I like the latest update, that view is pretty neat to look at, can't help much as this part of art is not my profession/desire.

WIP Update
working on the Shepard itseft, it's a little tricky painting the crumbing obelisk at this angle, and with this pseudo pastel color palette needed to convey that its reaching into the atmosphere.

Love it! Spot on eliminating the larger buildings and putting a bit of a circular lens warp on it, like a wide angle lens without compensation.

You could possibly make the tendrils up in the air glowing dark or something... I can understand the complication of dealing with that much atmosphere and light at the same time. Or perhaps thicken up the number of tendrils hanging up there so that you could see them better.

This came out very delightfully creepy and I feel like you really nailed the perspective problems in the end.

There is no submit button right now, this link should take you to a post about what the mods want people to do for submissions, but it looks like you already did it, so you are probably on point.
