This is my progress thus far. I have been gathering reference and creating thumbnails/quick iterations of a concept. This is what I came up with in the end. I feel like I have a solid idea in my mind, therefore the work i am showing is a bit more detailed and the concept are quite similar to each other already. Probably I will make a mix of these for the final line drawing.

Please let me know what you think. Feedback would be very much appreciated, and especially suggestions are very welcome at this stage.

This looks great! Which one are you going to do?

Oh you're also participating! Looks really nice already, it's gonna be neat

I finished my concept, so its time i move on to the block-out stage of the model. I am going a bit slow since i haven´t been feeling too well lately sadly. But the idea is there.
The previous upload did not really portrait a champion in my opinion. So I decided to make some changes to the concept. By giving her more armor and a bit of a robust look. Personally I feel I am on the right way, but as always feedback and critics will always be more than welcome to improve my work.

Awesome design, really love her costume!

It has been a while since I posted (blame Christmas holidays), but I have made some progress. I started a base body for her, but most of all I focused on the head. Since this is the first time i am creating a female character I was most worried for this part. I hope she shows some character and that the facial structure is correct? Feedback and suggestions will be much appreciated.

From here on i will continue to add the next level of detail etc. I´ll try to create a final body mesh and head sculpt by the end of the weekend.

That concept is gorgeous! Nice start on the face.

wow, beautiful. you already put some nice details into the concept, the 3d will be even cooler  i really like her face, maybe check the eyes, her iris could slightly touch the bottom eye lid.

going very well man! nice work on the face. You can't avoid making the clothes forever tho...

Maybe it wasn't such a great idea to create a female for the competition, since its the first female i create. I noticed i struggled with the anatomy, since i wanted an athletic woman but it turned out too manly all the time. This is a result i'm pleased with, although feedback would be very much appreciated.

I also did the low poly, bakes, textures and shader set/up of the head already in Marmoset 3.
The reason I went this far with the head is simply because its my first time doing this workflow, so I wanted to know if I would be able to tackle this. For now i am happy with the skin but not with the eyes and eyelashes yet. I am thinking about starting new eyes, since i tried it the "real" way, but only after i finished the eye i discovered there is no refraction in marmoset. So i will go for the paralax map eyes.

Again, feedback please please please. I will start clothing now, and this will go fast since this is what i am comfortable with.

this looks so good! i can t wait to see how the clothing comes out

Thanks for the kind words guys! Im pleased to hear you like it so far.
@rebornrock the face has been baked down already, but this is just a test, since i wanted to set up my marmoset skin etc. already. I will still have to tweak quite some stuff in the high. The texture are also a very early wip.

great work so far dude, can't wait to see the whole thing

Great work! I really like the concept :)! Maybe you can add more red colour variations nearby her eyes

hey Mathijs, this is looking good. For this to be your first female everything is turning out well. Like everyone said already, your concept and face is good. I wouldn't really worry about the body looking manly especially for your concept since most of the body will be covered. Just try to get the silhouette as best as possible so you can spend time on other important parts that will be visible. Look forward to you next post!
