So far working on the character turnaround and poses to flesh out my lightning genie a bit more before heading into the final!

Some character variations and my reference board, taking influence mostly from indian and moroccan clothing, mixed with some gypsy style jewelry. Her powers are derived from the alchemical devices on her arm and hanging from her belt, providing control of pink lightning clouds.

And here we have my final splash art for Art War 4 | 2D! This is Gemma, she is a carefree alchemist who harnesses the power of electricity in her genie-inspired arm and hip cannons. She protects her arabian-inspired hometown in the clouds from those who would attempt to wage war or raid it for its antique treasures. The little lizard sitting on her knee's name is Gummy, and he packs a pretty powerful zap when provoked. Generally though, he is there for companionship as Gemma zips around the skies looking for ways to help out.

This is the most in depth I've ever gone in created a character and the most hours I've spent on a final piece yet, and I'm pretty happy with the result. I feel like there are still many things I can improve but also there is only so much you can learn from one piece. I feel very proud about the composition, colors, creativity and some parts of the rendering, however I know I can improve on some aspects of rendering.
