Hi! 🤙🏿 Finally I can do some designs for this contest, Is the first time I know about this and the theme look so cool and interesting.
Well I started with some rough shapes, but I decided for the fire after this, so is not defined in the first search.

Then I take the silhouettes that I like the most and start to make more detailed forms.

And here are the first designs, I'm not sure which one to follow
I hope that in the next update I can show a more specific design for the character, maybe some kind of deity.

I will think about a story-origin for the champion for take some decisions too
I'm apologize if I'm not very clear with the words 😅

Yes the design will depend on the type of character as you said.
I'm thinking a short backstory that maybe works and seeing how to combine parts of the designs that I would like to work together.
In the last one of the first line I like the head and crest and I want to try this in other body 🤔

Hi again!
First I chose the things I want to put together and then I did some changes and try to combine some parts.
And here is the result.

As you can see I added a head because I decided to go for a old woman for this character as a Deity.

And with these bodies I want to adapt them for she but I don't search for a defined feminine figure. I just think is not necessary.

Here I play with the fire color and decided to leave a side the head with the emblem (crest).
I think I will work with the first or second.

And then I design some masks. Maybe I will choose the last one cause I want to cover her eyes but with only one maybe works for the personality I want to create.

I hope you like the change. I liked this for a simple reason, I want to go out of my comfort zone and this isn't the classic character with women or man too standard (Nice body, pretty face, an Adonis) and seems interesting for me to do this one.
Maybe she will have a friend, maybe a cat.
You will know the next time 😉

Yes I know is weird to think about this mix but in some way I want that the character be a little weird 😂

Finally I have the design almost finished. Here a little bit of her story:

"An ancient entity that was born in the nucleus of the earth live in the blood of the Grandmas of her family. This time is for her.
She will wake up the powerful skills of the fire in the world to take the control of this war.
She don't hesitate, if she needs to attack massively, she will."

Following with the designs:
First I try the masks that I liked the most.

Then I did some designs for her human form.

Here I try the designs that I selected before, I choose the middle one. The others are good I thnk but clearly not for her 😂

And here I put the designs I will use for the final character.

Then I did the design more clean and detailed, and try some colors combinations.
I almost sure that I will use the C option. The white one are good too but is too brigtness and doesn't make a nice contrast.

Well, I will do some studies of the materials and textures that I will use. And hope the next time you will see her with the little friend I will give to her, and some sketches for the splash.
I don't know yet if I will do some weapon, If someone have any coment about that or about the character in general will be welcome.

Finally I can update, well, as I said here is her little friend
His name is "Salchicha" (Not related to the topic but I liked it)

First I tried with a meerkat but doesn't feel that it works, so I did the cat that I said before.


Then I did the weapon, nothing too complicate, just tried to adapt the walking stick to a weapon.

Here the "model sheet" whit the finals characters in normal form and transformed.

And here is some studies of the materials that I will use.
Every time I have to do something new I try to implement things that I never use before.


And finally I did some sketches for the splash. I selected 6 from the first ideas for do the ones that I liked the most


And then I selected these:


I´m not sure now but probably I will use the 2nd
I think is a good scene, wiht action, good view, and over all the character is how I want to show
She is smiling while it boils the head of a water warrior.
And in the back is "Salchicha" attacking. I will do him attacking an earth warrior with fire.
Obviusly is just to place the idea, I have to fix the proportions, perspective, etc. But I liked it.
