Very new to this so bear with me. Wasn't as polished as I would've liked, but I ran out of time.
I went with the 'water' icon and tried to create some kind of underwater fighter

Here are my design exploration explorations. Originally I wanted to go with a proper mermaid, but I settled on legs with a tail in the end.

And here is the final illustration. It isn't nearly as polished as I would've liked it to be but I don't have the time to keep noodling away. I still like the way it came out though.
