I know I’m a little slow. And do things way differently than most artists, but I’m enjoying this so far. Like I said its a slow process. Piece by piece its coming together. I’m almost positive i can finish this within the month.

Don't worry there's nothing bad at taking your time, and if you enjoy it it's amazing ! ^^
Do you paint all the textures by hand ?

Both yes and no. Some are a predefined brush. While others were done manually. A lot of the textures are a mixture of both.

I’m trying to keep a balance of armor detail and “shell”. Organic and man made i guess. Ive also always been a fan of light and dark. Good and bad. Sword and shield type stuff.

Ow ouki, that's really cool. Your materials and textures renders are very solid !

Thank you. To be completely honest this is my first real in depth drawing digital. So it's a learning experience for me.

i had a few other projects to work on so this process is going slow. I should be able to focus more of my attention on this painting here soon.

10 days later

slowly working out the details. I’m changing my approach to the waves. This has definitely been a learning experience for me.

every thing was a little too much vibrancy wise so i toned it down a little bit. Getting closer to the end. Im going to have to cram the next week.

2020 Art War 4

This entire drawing was done on Procreate. To be entirely honest this was one of the most difficult drawings I have ever completed. I am not a digital artist but I did my best. I am happy with the results.

The drawing itself is a water warlock under siege by the other factions. I figured it was appropriate to show him surrounded by the raging sea drawing power to fend off the assault. I tried to give the armor the appearance of being made of shells and metal. The majority of my time was spent working on his armor. The rest of the painting I took a more painterly approach.

This was an awesome experience for me. Thank you
