I'm still thinking about the concept but in general, my heroes will be an ancient Egyptian being with half alien-half lion looking and a lance-user, his lance is a divine weapon of god.

So I have changed my mind and decide to follow the Earth Faction!.

I make a zbrush sketch, use some bone modules to do a quick layout. Like the Egypt Myth, this creature will give the final judment for those wanderer souls who get lost in the bounderless Great Sand Sea. Answer the question correctly or beheaded by his dual scythe. Meet sphinx the sand executioner.

This is my first time to join a challenge on cubebrush so very excited. also feel free to share your opinions, any cc is welcome!

I've made some changes on the design cause the last one look too complicated. I want to make him like an alien creature that armor and weapons have to be parts of his flesh so I still consider how to make those blades like growing from inside his body. Still have a lot of work to be done xD

So... design changed again XD, somehow it didn't work for me. I tried to tweak it a little bit then finally it's end up so much different. I also change the theme from alien-being to more fantasy- prehistoric creature but it still sit at Earth faction. I'm very satisfied with the current one so may be it's will be the final design. I will go with detail works after my vacation and keep up with this challenge.

I put him in maya scene and make some renders with simple light-rig and I think he's good enough for now.
