Firstly, thanks so much @dreamsequenz for the continued support, and @cedricgo for the kind words!
Did a quick hand-topo pass on the him yesterday and today, just got one arm left before I can split, smooth and send GoZ some pieces back to Zbrush for some details. Before that I think I'll start adding the rest of his costume which I'll be handling first with some box modeling. deadline is starting to loom closer, so I'm going to have to start to push a bit longer each night if I want to get him where I'm hoping to ^^. Some really great characters shaping up in the competition, it's really a blast to see everyone else's designs start to reach the polish and detail phase! Let's make this an art war to remember
16 days later
Haven't posted in a bit, been super busy with my job, working some OT and such so not as much time to spend on this as I'd like. Wanted to share some of the progress though as it's been a while. Mainly been working on the cables, pouches, straps, clasps etc and getting all the UV's layed out on the new topo. Just 11 days left! I'm really hopeful I can get it Uv'd, baked, and into substance for rendering by then
Thank you @prinzmoana! and cheers @blouko ^^
These hands were a bit of a labour of love today. I wanted to put a lot of work into them as I'll be using across all 3 sets of arms, so they make up a huge part of the character visually. Juts a couple small straps and buckles left to do before I can organize the UDIMs and export back to Zbrush. 8ish days! lets goooo

The Canadian Shield was a genetic experiment by the Canadian government started in the year 2085, in an effort to protect their astronauts from hostiles while on missions. He was genetically edited with several Canadian animal genes such as the polar bear, moose, beaver, and lastly... the space faring tardigrade so that it had natural immunities to the vast amount of dangers of space.

welp, in the end I just ran out of time sadly, had him UV'd and the high and low res meshes set up and ready to bake. ah well ^^ It'll be fun to finish this character properly in my free time, I really want to see him fully textured.
Thanks to everyone for your support/cheers, it was appreciated haha. Really enjoyed the theme for this challenge, having it be so open really meant you could make anything you could dream of. Until the next art war!
@corretta Thank you! I'm glad you find him terrifying haha
