I'll be doing a cursed barbarian on the dark side.
His name is Tarak, he was a trusted soldier and good friend to the chief of his tribe. He and his tribe were the soul protectors of an axe referred by many in the tribe only as "The Might of Mallas." Tarak was told that the axe feeds off emotion, and only someone with a righteous heart can wield it.
A man named Emon wanted to use the axe to rule land; he slaughtered many who opposed him, including the chief. Tarak, in a moment of weakness to save what remained of his tribe, used the axe to slay Emon and his men. Mallas had given him the strength of 100 men; the reflexes of a cheetah, a hide as hard as stone, and rage so pure to feed the emotion needed to wield it, one can only describe as invigorating.
Tarak had won and saved what remained of his tribe, but everything has it's price.
When Tarak relieved himself from the axe, he began to feel ill. The tribe priest told Tarak that the axe gives power because it feeds off of the user's soul to power it. It was cycle of give and take, once the cycle is broken, the axe just feeds. Without the axe by his side, he would die. Tarak pleaded to have the axe so that he may live, but the priest refused. Saying that only a truly righteous man can wield it. While Tarak was a good man, he was not believed to be truly righteous. His family and friends refused to help him, believing that Tarak should die a martyr.
Feeling betrayed by not only the priest, but his tribe as well, Tarak took the axe by force and in doing so...accomplished what Emon could not. The rage given to him that was once so pure had turned savage.
He had slaughtered his entire tribe.
The axe had changed him physically and mentally, making Tarak as wicked on the outside as he had become on the inside. Tarak now seeks immortality to save himself from the life draining curse of the axe, and promises a painful death to those who stand against him in his quest.
