Despite how little time it takes to do a batch of gestures I still find myself having a hard time doing it every day so props for that. I'd say there is noticeable improvement if you look at day 1 and day 14, keep it up!

Oh wow, those practices are paying off. You are starting to get the volumes well. I'd still start with the main line of action for a better flow. I like how you can pull off these with such precise strokes.

@hyoi Thank you! It's actually the first time I'm doing it for this long. I guess it's a mix of not having a lot else to do right now and knowing that I'm going to do it for only a month (although I might continue anyway XD)

@WeirdOwl Thank you! I always freak out when I realize how short 30 seconds is, so I end up always forgetting to draw the line of action

So here's week 3. I tried a different brush and I'm not sure I quite liked it for this purpose, but I stuck with it for the week anyway. I might go back to the previous one I used for this week.

That is very impressive for left hand. I'm lucky if I can get a line in the direction I want with left hand. Are you practicing in case right hand goes out of commission?

So I have not posted here in quite a while. I don't have any artschool stuff to share now, although I'd like to get back to that. But I have this painting I finished 2 days ago to show, so might as well post it here.

I'm quite a bit late, but thank you @WeirdOwl and @Julia_J. And thank you too @HANDRO! It was indeed from imagination. I matched a few concepts and ideas that I felt work together to create it. I did end up making a small paper maquette to help me a bit with the lighting.

So I started again with Artschool. Not from the beginning, but with the anatomy of the head. I had a few more exercises I did digitally where I did the structure of various faces and added the fat pads on top based from photos, but they might have been lost in the ether now

And then I started sketching one from imagination and it turned to this 😆

I have an idea for an illustration based from it which is nice!

Those are really solid heads right there! Great, I love how accurately you defined the major planes even in difficult and foreshortened angles!
