Oh looks like you rendered it quite a bit .not gonna lie i was looking forward to a more nature oriented design. i'm a sucker for anything druid/nature related. But she looks dope like this aswell! Great work .
As for the values i'd say try to keep them simple. Especially for matte materials like skin.
As James Gurney puts it, the more reflective the surface, the broader the range of values you need to paint it. so if you over do it, your materials might end up looking rather metallic. The values in this particularcharacter look pretty good tho. I know i used to do that mistake a lot so i thought it might come in handy for your future paintings. Cheers!

Thank you for all the kind comments ! ^^ And yea..I often tend to fall of track with a set concept I love to just improvise and see what looks cool
I will definitely remember to think of skin as a matte surface, thanks for the tipp !
I also hope that one day a painting of mine will make it to the front of cubebrush where a lot of awesome paintings and 3d characters are displayed >-<

Ill try and finish this painting today, but since i had 11 hours of school yesterday ( 10 + piano practise xD ) I didn't really have time for anything but sleep and eat ...
I don't want to leave this one unfinished because I learned to never not finish a piece.

Im still trying to improve the dragon creature in the background and the backstory is that this is actually a mother looking for her young ( I know, like the ol' Dragon tales xD )
I also want to add a little more drama and a fore-ground character like maybe the young of hers or an Egg stealer 0.0

Yup i had to ^^! I featured Chrono, the little owl from my Painting // Blossom in this one, but more grown up and on this adventure with Orynå ( my last painting )
I thought that his brownish tint would represent a cool medieval vibe ^^. What do you guys think ?

Hey guys.
Long time no see i guess
I've really been busy with school and exams and all..and when we are talking about school why not showing you guys how I designed our school logo
This is probably still the early phase of it but I want it to look like a sort of badge ^^
I hop I don't spark any political controversy here, but I do have to say that we just took this phrase ( not cause we like donald trump) but dealt with him in so many of our classes and subjects that we just had to quote him
I hope I can present you guys ( and myself ) more art stuff in the future, when i also can breath again

soooo..I really got bored with the 'friendly Travellers' painting I was working on and it was also from a thin i built in a game so my Idea was already manufactured. Im currently just trying to get back into my rhythm after taking of some time, so i guess im back >-< !
In this painting/ scribble i want to try this over the shoulder looking character and want to focus on her anatomy and design.

Starting to refine and fixed her body a bit so she doesn't look so stiff I want to probably make her smaller in the scene ( when i add one xd ) and giver her either a cool weapon or she is maybe opening like a curtain or door of some kind and one can see an interesting scene through
Cat on a Shield ?
Knowing me, this won't stay a typical cat for long, just the body will be and this is really just the undersketch for that >-<

This is for more interest in the painting ( im trying really hard to break that line that goes through this whole piece by making something interesting on the tip of the cat like creature's tail. I'd also like to sy, that i didn't use any reference for this whole piece and that im kind of shocked that I know how to draw cats xd

This is what i alway like to do on my instagram, cause when i take pictures of my paintings they tend to look better because I can take them from a certain angle ( Even tho I did rotate her a bit, so it doesn't seem like she is falling ). This is currently the stage I'm in and i have to say its almost done.
I quite like the outcome will share the full image soon. ( As you can see, i did challenge myself to paint on 1 layer, as seen in the low right corner, the layer above was that circle that I then didn't like anymore xD.) Just what weird is, is that my phone captures the picture in the way I actually see it on my monitor ( in this slightly warmer and more saturated tone) and when i post the painting from Photoshop it always comes out more faded and also longer ? 0.0 Don't really quite get that >-<

Starting a Sketch for a new piece ^-^ This Character found an unwanted visitor in her garden i guess Still working on the concept. Starting to rough out the idea a bit more, she is in a swampy environment ^^

Tomorrow I'll do the finishing touches and add shadows and bounce lights to like water surfaces ^^

I wanted to make it seem more painted ( a little bit like my last painting ) so i made more defined brushstrokes ^^ I could really use some opinions on this one because I'm not really sure if it turned out well or..?
Man, I wish one of my paintings would be featured on the Mosaic on the front page, I will keep hustling until I'm good enough >-< #goalset

My first ever commission !! [ WIP]

My first ever commission piece, and i wanted to show you guys the journey.. i put 4 hours into this to get to this state.. i know a lot of you are maybe mad at me for not posting and ./or disappointed and i am too... but. well what can i say.. i just gave up.. because i didn't seem future and that with 16! xd wow.. well i want to try and get back on track. My last painting Enchanted Fissure actually means very much 2 me because it really showed how much i tried to be someone else lol.. well, getting no reviews on it also gave me an additional push to stop which may sound weird coming from me, since i actually never really cared about feedback.. but yea. I hope im not 2 rusty but 28 days without touching my wacom tablet for sure did knock me down some levels.. well i hope you guys can remember me, and maybe come back and also join my journey

still working on it.. i recently discovered an artist called 'ross draws' and wow, his pieces all have this energy and i want to implement a little bit of that in this one as well

Nice! Congratulations on getting commissioned.

As for feedback, the major thing I first saw was the anatomy of the character. It's mostly that her torso and right arm are soooo long. I'm not sure if it was intentional, but that's the main thing that bugged me.

I did a quick paintover just to show you a bit better.

heyyy, i see what you mean but yeah that was one characteristics of the character, since she was this hybrid of kind of a wild cat and human but with more human aspects, so i made her a little more slender and tried to give her a more elegant pose as well ^^ also, this piece has a pretty strong back lighting so the face would be hit that much from the sceptre giving light >-<

It makes sense! If you want to go with a longer physic then I'll at least recommend increasing the lenght of her upper left arm. Right now it seems to be only about two thirds as long of the upper right one.

Other than that I like the big darker mass of vegetation-thing you've put in the foreground. I think it definitely helps making the picture more balanced.

Yeah it was supposed to be a sort of druid with this wooden mask facing her, and its being attached with this head-root thingy im currently coloring in because i feel like it needs this next level of coolness ! >-< And yea I will surely longer her arm, lol howcome I only saw that now...

I don't know why but i like to start with a 'blue-print' when coloring and then develop the colors from there 0.o is that weird ? lol
