Hi everyone. Been here a while but never posted...figured I should since I'm struggling on this plateau. I am working hard to make my illustrations better so I can start drawing in a crowd to my works overall so..any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Some value work to decide where I want the primary light source to be.
Laid down colors and a harsh artificial light for the spell. I was training myself to start with greyscale value painting but decided I hated it and there was no point. I couldn't figure out how to make the gradient maps work so...gave up, tbh. Also, fixed her leg and added another light source at her back:
And this is where I am now. I wanted to create more of a basic environment and then started to blend out some of these cel-shaded areas. I'll add hard shadows back in later and then...adjusting colors...it's still a ways off but I'd really like to finish something. I've been frustrating myself and have finally given up and am now here asking for help... *sigh
