I agree with @malcom, an arm can't bend that much and in this pose you should't be seeing the right arm. Anyway, keep up the good work I like where this is going

Nice design and nice rendering so far. I really like how the wings wrap around the head.
In this last round of tweaking, it feels like you flattened out the screen-left thigh a bit too much on the top - it's almost a straight line along the top now, and in the last few iterations it had a really nice subtle curve to it which was working well to hint at the leg musculature. (Yes, that's a really nit-picky note, but there's not too much to criticize here, it's looking terrific! )

@mr_dessin: thanks man! Yeah I helped design and make environment for the game, hope you liked it it was tons of fun to work on and probably the most productive 2 years I've had so far.

@rgdraw: Thanks! It's been fun playing with the colors on this. In a way her design is all self-indulgence on my part, stuff I'm looking forward to rendering.

@mdashow: Great catch! I've attempted to fix it. the legs overall can probably use some work. Loose pants are strangely tricky to get right.

Quick update! mostly cleaning things up so i feel a little more sane.

@rgdraw: Thanks a lot! Haven't pushed rendering for a character in a long time and this'll be a fun challenge.

Spent tonight mostly gathering refs. Can't remember the last time I made a ref board for non-work stuff, serious now Should probably at least started part of the ref board a little before going into render, but it's not the first or last time my "process" is complete chaos haha.

Didn't paint a whole lot on the actual piece, but began tweaking lighting.

The actual ref board file is really huge. didn't resize anything I found for speed sake. Kind of a random assortment of material studies, awesome paintings with lighting/colors I like, gesture and shape references what not. Apologies for not listing source for the images, simply not enough time.

Loving this so far. The face is really awesome and the colors to die for. All jokes aside, this is shaping up really well. Love how your handling the materials. The balance and contrast of things are looking great. Keep up the good work.

Very nice touch with the 'burning' metal pieces. This subtle effect adds so much to her theme.
