Quite excited about this challenge, especially considering what was submitted the last time!

FINAL

The dream stalker roams the ancient forest were the lands of gods and men meet. He seeks unwary trespassers, waiting for them to fall asleep; he then enter their dreams, calling their souls to him, capturing their essence, keeping them prisoners in their slumber, feeding on them.

Started the blocking. Marvelous, a bit of Maya for the armor and zbrush for the rest.

Some tweaks to the silouhette. Added some of the trinkets to get some ideas about their placement. Second pair of horns, still unconviced about the dreamcatcher on the head...

Almost done for the blocking. I'll give myself another day to fix proportions and overall look before starting the first detail pass.

*Had to redo the horns since I originaly used 3D scans of real horns since it is not permited I modeled a new pair to match (as close as possible) the old ones.

I'm really into this type of designs, and this character is a really cool one!

I had quite a busy week but I found some time to finish the silouhette and starting to add some details here and there. I would like to finish the HR model during the weekend and start on the blade and the drum.

Any suggestions concerning the design is quite welcome.

Finished on the details of the sculpt. Still need to do the scythe and the small drum. After that, the fun part! Retopo...

Started on the textures. I am quite used to work with cinematic characters, but game ready characters are still a puzzle for me... Any tips on textures and baking etc?

yes xD all the pics I have are from Marmoset https://www.artstation.com/archsider .
Now I am considering Blender to render , as I dont get the position of the lights in the marmoset(I think). I need to experiment more

You should get a look at this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyBvfsJjuQc&t=1946s, helped me quite a lot.

Tough Marmoset is not at all my prefered renderer. I am more of a cinematic guy and most familiar with Arnold, Vray, etc.
