Hey, i am re-openning my sketchbook as it was the last version of the forums.
I'll post here my previous works, and in the next post my current work in progress. I'm taking any critics, overpaint, and you can take my arts if you just ask me before.

Here's my current try at painting... Flesh. I watched afterward Marc's video about skin and might have to colour it all again. Is there anything else that seems off ?

Why is Cthulu spawning from her chest!?

This looks interesting though! One thing that seems off is the color. Skin is rarely gray like that, and you seem to have a lot of it, making it seem muddy or dirty. What skin is really like, is nicely show on your arm. It has a darker side, with a heavily saturated midtones and then a lighter side. Light usually kills off the saturation, and you could push that further. Her face looks warped, and it is true that her right eye is supposed to be smaller when her head is to the side like that, that eye is a bit too small as it is right now.

As for the skulls, they aren't very anatomically correct, but they're just assets! As for flesh; it looks kind of off, but I haven't ever tried to render that, so I can't really put my finger on what is off. Anyway, nice seeing you post! Really loved your "Whats lives above the clouds ?", it is mysterious, interesting and it tells a very cool story with some nice composition Keep up the good work!

The story behind this girl, named Zara is that she was in love with two newly-weds, but she was excluded as they did not liked her. So, to keep them nearby forever, she merged them into herself, keeping their brain, skull and heart. This way, the two lovers are still alive, and won't be able to die before Zara does.
She is now proud to hug them every night.

I've seen that the skin should turn more red-ish/saturated as it get darker, so i will try to correct it on this side.
For the face, i clearly lack human anatomy. You're right i should increase the size of her left eye. Also, isn't the face a bit too... vertical ? i mean, should it be a bit larger and less taller ?
(On a side-note, i forgot to precise this was a WIP, as the skull is not colored, the dress neither, and the hairs still feels lacking)

Hey everyone
Here is my last painting, i'd like to know your impressions on him. For example, do you think the character should be more visible ? I like to reward people who spend time looking at the details, but eye-catching features are great too.

This is the one i'm working on, but i feel i'm stuck with it, and would like external feedback on it -any kind- while i work on other pieces / master studies.

Wow, your works are really great! I love the brushwork in each image, especially on the waves on the last image! ^^

Thanks Sadly i have cut most of the waves on my new version wich should have an enhanced composition.

So sad to hear you cut the waves on the last image but I hope it looked better than before! These studies are good for a 40 minute timeframe. The first one probably needs more adjustment on the face especially the chin but either way you have a nice grasp on the values! Can't wait to see the finished version! ^^
